I think a good trip to the thrift is both, it’s up to the person thrifting to know what to be on the hunt for & some thrift stores have high prices & bad inventory
The thrifter makes a difference but for some areas, specifically low income areas, people just dont donate good things so it going to be a lot more junk to sort through to find what is good quality or cute.
Thrifty treasures! Honestly the big thing that puts me off going to certain thrift shops - op shops here in Australia - is if they are overpriced. Unfortunately my local is overpriced so it really puts me off going there. I find stock is always changing and obviously depends on what has been donated there.
For me is not the store, it's myself. I feel like I don't have the body for a lot of the trends so that makes limitations on what I thrift. Because i do find a lot of cute stuff, just not for me to wear 🥲
I used to work at a Thrift store as a donation sorter, the best time for new item searching is 12 to 4pm, by then we out a majority or all the new thrift items for the day.
Yeah i hated the sunday reset trend. Ive always done Monday resets lol. Everyone at school and work and the whole house for me to have my own cleaning concert with a well.deserved lunch out right before school pickup!
thrifting is like going treasure hunting. suddenly you might strike gold. funny thing is sometimes you put a wish out and Karma gets it for you. we have several shops in my area but prices are all over the place. cheap stuff are almost new prices but good quality things are sometimes really priced to move. the worst thing is when you are on vacation and the perfect furniture piece is there! I cant fit that in my carry-on!
I have no luck at thrift stores as I’m plus size so I like to live vicariously through other people’s videos. You mentioned shein etc I don’t know if it’s just because I price them lower but I’m selling on Vinted and I’m so shocked that my shein items actually sell much quicker than a lot of my more quality brands.
Can you do a mamma Mia themed thrift trip??I went to a very unorganized and not so nice goodwill and ended up finding these adorable $300 Ferragamo shoes! I had no idea of the brand at the time but thought the shoes were adorable and were super nice. When I got home, I decided to Google the shoes as they looked so nice and discovered them to be a designed brand! So you really just get lucky!
