I was about 2 minutes from throwing it all in the woods bc I couldn’t figure out how to get that plate to sit properly. So damn glad I found your video! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Dude you just helped me more that you know with that damn oil plug issue. I’m like, wtf does it have two oil plugs? Who the fuck thought of this design? An no where you look can you find a cover to replace it, or a torque converter designed to fit around that drain plug. Blew my mind but thank you for this video 🫡
Watched this to see if someone finally mentioned the throttle linkage issue. You did exactly what I thought I was going to have to do with the hard link instead of the spring. I watched the spring cause so much slop. The only way it would close was to snap the throttle shut. Now my carb will actuate the way it should. Thank you!
Thanks for this video you actually know what your doing and give important bolt info i searched for a while if i was you id do a update video if you still have the bike alot of ppl liked this video helped alot thanks man
How come I tried using a grade 8 bolt just like u said but it’s not screwing in only screws about one or two threads then acts like it’s cross threading
You should have kept the engine that the dirt bike had came with and then take it apart work on it and maybe turn it up a bit and see what you get out of it
Nice video, I appreciate the detail as that’s my next build. I just finished a nicely built high revving stage 3 Predator 224 that’s a 60 mph+ ride with a Tork-Zilla on a modified CT200U. But I’m always looking for bigger motor builds. Thanks. Just curious, noticed your tats, are you military? If so, thanks for your service.
100% false. I restore karts all the time. I've done 40-50. Unless you're calling for full throttle HP and RPM and if you have it geared with a 10 tooth you'll be fine. However... putting a 301 or above on any kart without changing gear ratio to take advantage of the extra HP makes the engine upgrade a moot point. That 10 tooth should be upgraded to a 13 or 14 tooth or the rear sprocket size reduced. Once you've done that, only if the kart or rider is too heavy or you're trying to do full throttle donuts all the time there'll be no issues with even the cheapest 30 series converter ESPECIALLY on a 301.
Where did you get the wheels and tires on the orange bike? My qa needs a set and I want to go a little bigger. Are the drum brakes still sufficient with the added power?
Dude, it looks like your belt is on backwards. That would explain your wear. That's an asymmetrical belt. One side is flat and one side is angled. The flat side goes toward the engine and the angled side faces out.
