I post videos to improve my English skills and preserve memory. You can see improvement of my English language skills.
I came to Australia on 6th April 2024. I'm gonna stay here for 1 year with Working Holiday visa.
I know there isn't lots of demand for my videos without editing. But I don't care about it. I'll do it everyday for my speaking skill and memory.
I know that sometimes there are mistakes in my English and it can be difficult to understand, but I hope you will warm to me! And please correct my English! It's so helpful
Hi! I remember watching one of your videos a couple of months ago, and I noticed you've changed your channel name. I know it's pronounced 'Hee-deh' 「ヒデ」, but for people unfamiliar with Japanese, they might read it as 'Hai-d'「ハイド」 (without the '-oh'). This could make them think the name means something like 'Hiding from Japan.' You don’t need to change anything, but I just thought it might cause some confusion for others!
No cos you’re so right. I read it as “Hide from Japan” too like literally. This comment is what helped me understand it’s not like HIDE as in HIDING but his name. I hope he sees it. ❤
I'm amazed you had more than one. It's really difficult to find work in Australia (at least Melbourne) when it's for minimum wage stuff. I know you don't respond to comments much but if you'd be willing can you let me know what your work experience was like before coming to Australia? Also good video as always! You're improving with each upload/day!
Yes have noit seen you for a while. I think it was a good decision to lower working hours of week. As long as you can sustain yourself. As far as I understood your aim is to improve your English so you should concentrate on that. Good luck. Cheers
Hey! I've been seeing your content and other type of content like yours on RU-vid for a while now. I just wanted to let you know, you inspired me to do my own vlog, just in French, my target language. I'm loving doing it so far. Keep up the good work and rock on!
And her is your girl friend? Very good you cooked for your friends. I love Japanese food . My favorite japanee food is Champon and miso soup. Keep up the good work. You said you hate cooking but it would be much healthier if you give it a try. Cheers
Hey bro, I’m like your channel but with Chinese not English! 😄 I appreciate your videos they encourage me to do the same, learn to fluency! I appreciate channels like these 💯💯keep it up!!
Hello Mr. Hide, I am a new viewer of your videos. I believe you are doing great work here to capture these moments in time and to keep track of your progress in the English language. I was misled by your RU-vid username at first because I interpreted it as someone who was running away from Japan, but this is not the case. I am not sure if anyone else had this problem before. But if it is ok with you, would you be interested in changing your username? Just so that is not misleading to other people. One suggestion I have is “Hide Learns English”. You are a good man, and I respect you. Keep up the great work!
You are a cool guy! If it wouldnt be a big thing for you it would be ideal if you make a playlist with all your videos starting from the first so people can watch your videos non stop. thanks for your content im gonna watch every single video!
in the description you said, “i hope you will warm to me” but it’s a bit more natural to say “I hope you will warm up to me” Just like how you would warm up a bowl of noodles. it’s a simile and doesn’t mean to actually get warm temperature wise (which i think you understand)
Hello Hide. So in western culture we are taught to ask how someone is feeling because it shows a person your interest in how they are feeling in that moment, it shows interest in break "ice" in the engagement being informal and more personal. It also allows for the two individuals to share something and allows us to bond in the moment and create a dialogue of engagement in that meeting. Its an Ice breaker. A lot of how we greet one another is informal. Hopefully that helps. Its very much a cultural thing and huge difference from a intensly formal Japanese way. 😊
Do not beat yourself up. All the shortcomings in you speaking Enslish will improve as you gain more practice and confidence. I would think you are doing very well sofar. Cheers
Hello! I'm a new subscriber! I'm really enjoying your videos. You seem like a cool dude, I'm also trying to learn a new language so you are an inspiration lol
First time watcher! I'm not english, but i work a lot with aussies and americans. I also really dislike the question " How are you doing?" - they just expect a "good! and you?" response and move on, just part of their culture. If i get asked " how are you doing?" in my own country, you already have a very close relationship and they actually mean it and are interested in your answer and I will try to answer honestly
Love that you’re sharing your insights on this! But yes we usually say ‘how are you?’ Not expecting a full reply, just a ‘I’m good’. Unless of course it’s been a while ^
