Seguramente dijo mate a sabiendas d q el otro s iba a resistir hasta palmarla, s nota q se acerca a ver bien la cara d tomate del pobre orgulloso. Con el DEBIDO respeto
I agree Olympic judo is not the most spectacular judo competition: due to its importance athletes are very risk-averse and do not usually go for big throws and try to win on tactics. This Olympics seems to have a lot of refereeing controversies. And to a non-judo person it might seem boring, but I doubt that anyone will raise a question of kicking it out of the Olympics.
Gracias. Saludos desde México.
As a Korean Judo fan, the Japanese people were robbed. Japan is the pride of Asia. European countries views us Asians as inferior bugs. This is why the Europeans including the organizers did not care. The only people who do are fellow East Asians and non asians who do Judo and respect the sport. We support Japan and Nagayama. Spain is a country that lacks code of honour and integrity. All this comes to show the Olympics medal means nothing. Its just propaganda.
Istanbul and Tokyo was 2 finalists to host Olympics in the past Tokyo bought it and due to Covid, no one really cared Tokyo mayor made racist comments against Muslims/Turks Read the history we are Ottoman Turks Japanese showed their true color I really was happy that No Olympic in Istanbul We have cats, tourists, great food and fun We don’t need more people to invade our city
Non-Japanese also think this decision is strange. The judgment should be fair. Making a mistake is not the problem. The problem is that they don't admit that they made a mistake.
I have been in Japan and the way they see foreigners and look down them is irritating I do not feel bad! They don’t call foreigners name Mistakes happen for good reason
Para explicar este estado de ánimo japonés a los españoles, es necesario compararlo con otros acontecimientos deportivos. Recordemos el partido de fútbol de la Copa del Mundo de 2002.
The action started before the mate is valid.. just as if someone began the throw and before execution it was called mate then this throw is valid.. score will be given for this throw The same thing can be said for the choke It was referees mistake.. she was not able to decide when to say mate..
Without intending to offend, I believe that those who insult so severely and accuse of cheating have never competed or let their passions get the better of them. When "MATE" is called, you never drop your guard while the opponent continues to fight, because the referee might decide that the checkmate doesn't stand due to a change in position and sees things differently. The referee doesn't touch the wrestlers to stop them, and there's another match happening nearby. When the opponent "falls asleep," it's all over.
what i don't understand if the referee didn't stop the japanese would have gone unconscious anyway. and i doubt the japanese saw the initial hand sign of the referee because his face was facing the ground.
He hold it for 7 more seconds, and what a ridiculous comment by the trainer. He stated that "no matter what, if you lose senses, you lose, that's the rule". Cool, just let me ignore the referee and keep choking my opponent till he passes, easy win every time.
@@jamin-r4k Generally, when they hear "MATE," it is natural to restart the match, so the Japanese relaxed his muscles. Therefore, even if "MATE" had not been called, the Japanese would not have fainted because he would not have relaxed his muscles. However, when he relaxed his muscles, the Spanish applied a chokehold, so the Japanese fell asleep. I think it was because of the umpire's too small voices.
Spain's Garrigos must have heard the referee's instruction to stop choking. Because Nagayama could hear the same instruction. Nagayama stopped choking at the referee's instruction, but Garrigos, eager to win, ignored the referee's voice and continued choking Nagayama until he fainted. The foolish referee awarded Garrigos the victory because Nagayama fainted, despite her instruction. So this was not Judo, it was a death game, right? No wonder the despicable Garrigos was refused a handshake. What would have happened if Garrigos and Nagayama had been in the opposite position? The Japanese would have strongly criticized Nagayama and demanded that he give up the victory. They would have told him not to come back Japan because a cowardly victory would be nothing but a disgrace. And we would have apologized to Garrigos. But the Spanish coach and the Spanish people seem to be proud of the cowardly victory and criticize Nagayama for refusing to shake hands. It's a real shame. I'm disappointed in them.
