Hey there did the install and am getting pulled timing on different cylinders at different times and misfires. Do DTCs generated. Is this due to the car still learning the A/F ratios and other adjustments. At what point should I drop maps
I’ve installed this on my 2023 bmw x4m and after like few months of use I’ve started to get check engine lights and loss of power when accelerating. Once switch it back to stock everything seems to be fine. This race chip piggy back is not worth it
6/23/24 - FYI if you are going to do this install yourself it is fully possible. TIP: The boost pressure sensor - go to Harbor freight or a tool store and purchase an extra long flat head screw driver and an extra long bird-beek pliers. Go through the driver side wheel well and use the flat head to pull up the sensor tab, after that use the pliers to squeeze the sensor, put your had up and pull the sensor back. It should come loosen. This method worked for me. Good luck.
Love your video , but may I suggest something pretty important… PLEASE DO NOT STATE DRIVER SIDE OR PASSENGER SIDE .. Please just say left side or right side of the vehicle.. This is a common problem coming from Americans.. As you be be aware NOT ALL COUNTRIES drive on the same side .. Your videos are shown world wide and when you say something is located on the drivers side well a lot of people are looking on the wrong side of the vehicle, Simply just say Left side or right side of the vehicle
10 month update. It's coming off. Throwing codes. Start stop feature non-functioning. Worked fine before. Now it doesn't. I wanted to like it. I tried.
I've been thinking of installing a JB4 piggyback tune to my 2019 Macan S, but I'm concerned about how it might affect my warranty. I've heard mixed opinions-some say removing the tune before service won't make a difference, as dealers can still sniff out ECU tweaks. Any Macan owners out there who've modded without warranty headaches?
Quick quick I just received my racechip but on the instructions that came with this the cables A and B it saying to be install differently than your video those this change because of the Year ? My car is 2021 ! Please let me know .
I just installed this on my 17 GLC 43 amg :) First impressions are great! Especially this being my firdt turbocharged car I own, its insane that these can “download horsepower” Its currently raining the next 2 days where i live lol so ill wait for a after 0-60 test But, this product solved all my issues with these motors. Great for launch but crappy top end power now it actually PULLS after 80 😁
Just came here after 3 years to update everyone. I already had an AEM CAI installed when I installed this product and I will say I've driven several times from NJ to Florida and back without any issues. I never got any codes and it didn't void my warranty. However, I do recommend you put that cap that comes with it on when take it to the dealer so that everything appears stock. I also want to mention that on those trips it greatly improved MPG on the highway, especially just cruising with the cruise control on as opposed to before the mod. And finally...... The question everyone's been wondering...... Does it add hp and make the car faster? It does. Just not dramatically. The car is definitely way peppier. It does have a little more boost. But its not something crazy. Its definitely noticable. Just don't expect to break your neck with the g forces or something. And now ... Would I get it again or recommend others to get it? I mean... I personally probably would have just gone with the Tri tune instead. But if you've got the money to spare or find a good deal, why not? It definitely makes the car a little more fun to drive. Go for it, if you've got the money. If you don't, save up and go for the full tri tune instead. The tri tune takes into account exhaust mods and intake mods specifically and it has the option to disable the autostart/stop. That's why I would have gone with that instead in retrospect.
It's been discussed on Bimmerpost. Do NOT go through bottom. No.. Go through the drivers wheel well - there is a plastic panel, remove that and you can see sensor looking up and forward. Use a 90degree pic to unclip. Do not go from the bottom.
Mate of mine did this exactly the same positioning and the cable running over the airbox got fried by the turbo heat, don’t run the cable next to the turbo😂
Remove engine and install chip. Ok this is up there in terms of things to remove to get to one annoying plug - but the process doesn’t seem too complex. The video seems helpful
