Hoyt will be awesome. Hopefully Erin will be a playable survivor character. Also have they added in any single player or PvE content yet? I haven't played for a while.
I thought sheriff hoyt was in a different TCM universe and I thought it was going to be a family member was an officer who made sure the family doesn’t get caught which he got rid of maria’s car to which danny encounter him at the police station before heading to the salvage yard at nancy’s place
They might receive a lot of backlash because a lot of people don’t like AI so maybe that wouldn’t be the best idea but they could do sound bites from the movie and try to make it work
So I'm getting friggin' tired of Gun and others claiming their last name was "Slaughter". You can read the original 1974 script online. It's out there. Nowhere does it say their last name was "Slaughter". I mentions the "SlaughterHouse", "Slaughter Room" and "slaughter the cows" but that is it. It is only ever used to describe the butchering of animals and the place they used to work... That means their real last name was first "Sawyer" from TCM 2.
This isn’t something Gun came up with, Kim Hankel, the cowriter of the film and creative consultant on the game, claims this. He even changed the name back to Slaughter in the fourth film, which he independently wrote and directed. I don’t know if it was in the original script itself, but it was definitely the original name conceived in character notes during the writing process. Even the BBQ spot at the Gas Station being called “We Slaughter BBQ” was a play on the name, as I believe the Cook was originally meant to be called W.E. as opposed to Drayton like in the second film. This is supported by the third film’s opening narration, and the fact Kim Hankel officially used that name for a new character in the Next Generation.
@@toad6565 Even if all of that is true, what you believe to be the name of the Cook or a sign saying "We Slaughter BBQ" being a play on the name...it's all irrelevant because the fact remains that they never said their name was Slaughter in the 1st film. Plenty of ideas get left on the cutting room floor when a movie is made. No name was provided in the first movie. In the 2nd a name was provided. That's just the facts. Now, they can certainly say we retconned the name to be Slaughter but they're not doing that...
If we really get the Sheriff as a Family Member i just hope he wear his Sunglasses like in the Movie the Game plays in the 70s and we still dont have any Skins whit cool Sunglasses 🤷🏻♀️
The game needs a story mode ion know what's there problem with making one I'm sure some people at supermassive games would love to help them create a story mode for this game 🤷🏽♀️
The Devs need to fix the grappling mechanism in this game. Just saw three people use it as the Victims to get a free escape. Like how the fuck can they start it without the killer accepting it. Seriously, there are so many bugs and bullshit mechanisms in this game that it is kinda unplayable. Also we need a trophy for Connie like in F13 with Chad. Connie is a bitch because she is always leaving her team to die. Seriously, 5 out of 7 matches she just ran out that gate not looking back.
As an OG player from beta, I don’t think Tcm can do ANYTHING to revive this game, yeah there are people that still play the game, but it’s soo ass now, nobody ever has a mic, lobby simulator is still going strong, and the fact that they consider a character reskin a “major update” is fucking sad. If you still enjoy this game, more power to you, but honestly this game sucks now, especially if you play solo and are already level 99
Ehhh I can appreciate and admire your hype for something like this, but Hewitt is a regular name and not part of a license. It could really just have been an easter egg they chucked in for fans, as the Devs have said before they are trying to remain true to the original film as much as possible. I know, Chop-Top is pretty much confirmed, but he can fit in the Universe since the 1st and 2nd film are both films made by Tobe Hooper
@@muslimayupov Which was something that made realistic sense in the games lore because its been in the games lore from the very beginning. Maria is an original character whereas the whole TCM remake is a whole different can of worms. If they do add the Remake in some capacity to the game then I'll fuss up, but I really dont think its gonna happen

As long as we get the Hewitt house and Texas Battle Land, I'm happy, but I do really hope we get some crossovers at some point. Not the big hitters. No Jason or Freddy, they wouldn't make sense. Sheriff Hoyt is probably my favorite character besides Hitchhiker. Can you imagine how brutal Hoyt's executions would be? If he can't attack with a gun, he could attack with a baton and pull out a gun for the executions! It would be badass! 🤘
Damn homie a leatherface beginning outfit would be fucking god tier !!! It’s now definitely possible man it would be a day 1 buy for me as well that leatherface design doesn’t get the love it deserves same with TCM2003 design in my opinion
TCM remake 2003 map would be great, it can include not only the family house but the slaughterhouse too, the one with lockers where LF chaces Erin, the abandoned house where they hide, etc. Also LF remake skin would be the best one by far. The problem is that it's a LF played by someone else, the chainsaw and the whole model is bigger. That means making new hitboxs and some other stuff, all that if you don't want a cheap remodeled skin.
They just need people on the team that actually play like the player base does to balance it better so we can keep enough players that’ll be here to buy the licensed DLC. The fact that they made a NEW perk that makes it so a family member has better stamina BEFORE grandpa wakes up is the most insane shit considering he wakes up instantly in 8/10 games. I can’t wait for Chop Top and I really hope the Hewitt reference isn’t just a fun Easter egg.
I'm sorry, but you're not correct when it comes to mentioning a name. Copyrights and trademarks do not extend to common names. Having Sissy say "Hewitt" or Johnny alluding to ChopTop doesn't mean Gun has the rights. It's no different than when film characters mentioned the name Jason Voorhees or Freddy Krueger. They didn't have to secure the rights to just mention a name. Copyrights, in this case, only extend if they intend to actual present the characters in question. So, unfortunately, this doesn't prove Gun has the rights to either of those films.
I would say Chop Top is likely coming based on those lines. It is clear the characters are meant to be talking to him directly, which implies he will be a playable character. The Hewitt line isn’t as direct, so I think it’s too early to make assumptions about that one.
@toad6565 I think it's too early to make any assumptions. The lines for CT can be them prepping for CT before they actually have the rights. Character models take a lot of time to create, even if you're using a foundation of another character. Gun has been clear they have been working on licenses, but they've also made it clear it's extremely difficult to secure (mostly from a money standpoint). But it would be wise to spend some time prepping for the potential characters you would want to use so if the license agreement goes into effect you can push the content sooner.
