Fosi is killing it with their product and customer service. You dont see that much from China based companies. One question Fosi, which opamp position is input stage and which position is gain stage?
I recently used the Mission LX-1 MK2 series speakers, but unfortunately, the speaker coil was damaged due to connecting a low-wattage speaker. I understand that this was my mistake. I’m now looking to build a DIY speaker for this amplifier and am considering purchasing components from DIY Audio Cart. Could you recommend suitable midrange drivers and tweeters for this amplifier?
Is there an option for a dedicated elf driver. I personally never had luck using class d t or anything other than good ol ab. Prefably with a little higher wattage out put. Maby additional eddy current Reduction. And oversized cooling... just my pro voc at ive. Tryed sevral offerings from reputable manufacturers z. Still no dize4me yetttt
I used this exact setup to try and independently drive a pair of JBL Control 30 Passive Speakers. Although these put out some decent power, at full volume these guys were not able to satisfactorily power the speakers. They sounded fair, but in an outdoor space for dance music, there was not nearly enough volume to produce a good experience. Just need more power than these guys can muster, I suspect.
Coming from the two ZA3s with SS3602 that I sold while waiting for my V3 Monos which came last Thursday . ZA3’s were great but also left a veil on the sound, but better than the stock opamps. I have been burning in the V3Ms totally of 15, maybe 20 hours. At first the V3Ms sounded a bit bright on my set up (WiiM PP, Weiss DAC 205, connected to stunning Stereolith M232 single stereo loudspeaker, with a Stereolith passive subwoofer.Now since yesterday afternoon the sound has changed noticeably to the positive, to the point where I am gob smacked. The sound now has much more bass and warmth, the voices, and instruments are just incredible. I am still contemplating getting just 2 Muses 02 for position 2 in the V3Ms, and have the best of both worlds, NE5532 and some Muses 02 subtly blended together. Would this make sense?
it would be great if this had ROON digital volume control integration.. because I know some dacs will accept volume control through the roon software over usb
Why the discontinued OPA2604 you cant buy these anymore? My rock solid preferential opamp for upgrading 70 and 80s hifi gear is the OPA134.. class A output very low Vnoise and Inoise unity gain stable. Its half the Vn and In of the OPA604. TI are now recommending the OPA1656 as replacement for both the 134 and 604 series. Its got similar slew rate half the Vn of the 134 and 1/4 of the 604. While In is the same as 604.. with 53MHz GBW rolling it will give .uch higher ngfbk margin than any 5534 that will drop THD significantly and with the higher GBW the larger more linear phase margins should mean it has a good listening experience also.. When upgrading any opamp driving cable/interconnects i use the LM4562 designed to drive 600 Ohm loads at low THD and noise.. both these opamps are cheap available and very good. Im not a fan of opamp rolling without a thorough understanding of the feedback network it has to serve. I expect a lot of the audible difference rollers may be hearing is due to an ill considered fit. Theres a lot more to opamp upgrades than buying the latest shiny thing and just whacking it in. "opamp electronics" needs to be considered also and we havent even discussed 1980s opamp power supplies and how to deal with them yet either........
