When I was a kid my grandmother had this machine same agitator . I would stand watching till it was over. Fridgedare wish they still built them like this today❤
My grandmother owned this washing machine. I remember admiring the control panel that would light up and have a style that seemed so futuristic. Washing machines were not only for function but also for appearance.
I just love it. That is my next mission is to find myself a GE filter flo. I know I'll never find one of this vintage, but even a later version before they were discontinued .
What a classic GE! I remember this one. Almost none are made like that one anymore! I do appreciate you and your channel! Happy Independence Day on Thursday! Mark in southeast Iowa!
All I can say is that is one powerful drain pump and your house plumbing had better be in good condition to handle the volume of drain water in a hurry.
It looks almost just as exciting in this video as it does in real life. I'm not there with my 59' Hoover yet. Yes I'm english where war as really badly screwed us all up and we weren't able to have such beautiful washing machines in the 1950's there. I seriously desire a whole collection of 1940's - 1970's machines, with a few from 1980. Not sure if a Blackstone is included but that avocado green Bendix most certainly is(or at least one from that ERA), as are all Frigidaire Pulsamatics and Unimatics. Humanity hasn't been existent to these works of art. We've just stupidly done as we were told at schools and by companies all these years on what we can and can't do... Bullshit! If a washer of mine breaks down I'm f wording fixing it. I'm not doing what tyrannical companies who are going to take over everyone else want, I'll do what I see fit... Hence why I fixed my Miele, and why I am fixing my Hoover.
That Blackstone would be very worthy. Gshoover has several videos of this washer. I'm actually surprised there hasn't been other full videos of this machine. I don't understand a lot of these guys who have these machines but don't film full cycles of them. What is it to set up a tripod and put your camera/phone on it and just let the thing roll ? I understand people are busy but this is the fun and this is the tech now that we have and a platform where we can post those kinds of things.
