Love this setup. To mount the additional panels on the roof are you drilling new holes for all the mounting brackets? Or just using silicone to stick the brackets down? As the new standards require individual fuses on each panel I'm guessing you do a penitration for each panel?

imagine watching this knowing you did this and it was re done. this is why I rather do what I can myself even learning this stuff isn't hard if you come from the right background. I did my own 12 v setup, 1 is because i can't wait 12 months for the right person and 2 99% of auto sparkys are rubbish and couldn't do the neatness I can do.theres no pride anymore its just a bunch of wires to most

Great test. Is an RCD DUO definitely required to run a generator into a caravan 15amp inlet? I'm sure many people would be keen to know what's required for the new regs for everyone's safety.
Mate I love seeing what great info that you share via RU-vid, it has certainly peaked my interests, in fixing my 2021 Jayco Journey, although its a small van but the invaluable information about the 12 pin connector, and then moving to the dual grey and red anderson plugs. My van alone they've done some shocking works, like let run a 6mm2 cable from the 12 pin, down to a junction area with 2 over larger BP connectors, then it then jumps over to a 10mm2 cable that then runs to the Fridge with the AES 3 way function. Strangely Jayco wired the AES switch wire directly off the 12v fridge supply write in the back of the fridge, it doesn't even make it to the 12 pin plug. Job well done Mate keep it up!!
Another great video. I'm sure many people would love to see how you wire before the inverter or after for 240v hot water and power GPO through inverter. Do the new regulations star you need double pole solar isolators rated to certain Amps or can you use an 4 pole DC32 AMP isolation switch? NOT MANY off grid builders show solar safety cut offs.

Hi Matt what size fuses to run - I have bought jayco swan 90 litre domestic. 100amp lithium battery in jayco. And thank you very much for all this valuable information. Think to run a fuse to 12 pin connector as well, is that a good idea ? Don’t have any battery in my Hilux 2023
Another great video matt. Great to see the smaller installs for campers/small RV. Did you run the 3 x200w panels parallel or 2 in series one in parallel? I trust If around 20v and 10 amps run in parallel you be at the 600w 100% efficiency. Watching heaps of other solar install when it comes to 3 sometimes makes the efficiency drop alot. Very interested in how you wired that in. Are the mutiplus and multiplus II inverter chargers neutral earth bonded as this seems a grey area with RENOGY Products being centre tapped and not neutral earth bonded. Very interested to know how the CMS work in more detail if you do 240v videos?

If you use one DCDC for two different batteries (car battery and van battery) one might be more depleted than the other (or different overall size). So assuming the DCDC is multistage, it wouldn’t be able to charge both banks at optimum charge rates (electrician here).
Hi Matt, hope you have enjoyed your trip, well deserved. I am rewatching some of your videos about dcdc chargers in caravans, however what I am trying to find info on is the blue trigger wire for the dcdc charger. I don’t see triple Anderson plugs on the back of vehicles or fronts of caravans so I am trying to find out how this works. Obviously new Ranger has a smart alternator. I have a trigger wire to the Redarc bcdc charger in the tub but never thought of having one put in for the Anderson plug for the caravan as currently don’t have a dcdc charger. All the best, Roger. 👍
Hey mate I have a brand new van with lithium so I run a anderson plug from start battery to my tow hitch and it doesn't seam to charge my van whilst driving ?? Can you help please
