Balancing is important, way more important than that.methid..you are fighting not only a lot of friction of the shoulder on the whole surface of that blade. But also the minimum deflection from flat static position. Spend the ten bucks and get the cone on point static balancer. You'll find it shows you you're out of balance after doing it your way Shops use a wall mounted ball bearing unit for high accuracy.
We had two pieces of angle iron welded back to back and mounted to a sturdy and level work bench. When customers wanted their blades sharpened, we’d get both sides sharp, then balance the blade across the iron flat side down. It’s easy to find the center point if you line it up using the star as reference.
Your right it has to be horizontal and level, the blade will than show what tip/end is heavy meaning you need to grind material off till it is level and doing this will take away vibration in your blades/deck laying it flat dose not balance your blade correctly unfortunately
@@aaronrad you can look it up there is an actual blade balancing machine and I own it lol it’s a magnet baring on a metal cone your blade gose on it and the magnet makes it flat and stick to the rotating cone , it’s horizontal not laying flat on the ground you want a rotating balance not a flat balance there is a difference
@@aaronrad I’m sure it helps but there is a better way to do it with and actual machine I’m not arguing these are just facts and how a shop would actually balance your blade
@@georgetrynamakeajug no it dose not this is still the wrong way to balance it .Can you read ? I responded to you by saying what the importance of balancing is for ,I DID NOT SAY this is the right way to do it. Are you a Genius?
We all have the freedom to make choices. We also have the freedom to experience the consequences of our choices for the better or worse. We should not have the freedom to sue someone if our choices cause our misfortune. Your choice. It’s free country more or less so far.
Good night! I am building a 302 V8 engine with a 347 Scat stroker kit and I would like to know what lkevas shaft your car has, thank you in advance! Mauritius of Argentina
This was a very poor design rushed into production without good quality testing. They are all prone to fail. I bought the replacement cast iron one to fix my LT1000.
DO NOT USE TCI. I can not get them to answer a phone call, return a voice message, respond to an email or even a Facebook message for warranty issue. Had to pay for it out of pocket. Now the transmission has 3 neutrals, and I pulling it out to replace with something that has 100% no TCI parts in it at all. I recommend everyone else does the same. No customer service at all.
Same truck same plug same break. But I broke the #3 square easy out in it. Seeing if I can flatten with a carbide burr to get a drill bit in to wiggle it out. Take the wheel off and pull the inner splash guard off and its a straight shot to #6. Was soaking in Free All and hitting it with the impact, it wasn't budging, it finally broke. Today I hit it with heat and AeroKroil, on third attempt the extractor had enough. Didn't apply any more torque than it takes to get a plus out and it snapped.
