I was born in Lake Placid, NY. John Brown's farm is a place of interest for history buffs. It's where John Brown, the abolitionist from Harper's Ferry, WV fame planned to build a town for slaves that was to be named: '"Timbuktu". The Lake Placid Club built by Melvin Dewey, creator of the Dewey decimal system for libraries, may be a place of interest if it is still standing. There is also an equestrian center that has events near the village of Lake Placid.

New subscriber here. Thanks for the video. I would love to visit Vermont while visiting Lake Placid or Lake George. Is it worth it? How long it takes on that ferry?
@divineeyeadventures
@divineeyeadventures 26 дней назад
Awesome! Welcome aboard. Ultimately, it depends on how much time you may have. Vermont is worth it but might be better suited as a different trip unless you have like two or more weeks in the area. The ferry ride is quick 30 min and an inexpensive way to view beautiful Lake Champlain. I hope to put out a Vermont video this year. Be on the lookout for it. Whatever you decide, this area is packed with beauty. Happy travels!

You should have checked out Experience Outdoors. They have a full zipline tour, a high ropes course, and a large net park. Much better than the tiny zipline you did that’s run by the state.

Yes and no. It would give you a great view of the eclipse from a spectacular location (weather permitting) but I can't imagine how packed it will be. Lots of people coming to the area specifically for the eclipse might make driving off the mountain a time consuming endeavor. Is it worth it? That's for you to determine. Good luck! Congratulations on your 25th wedding anniversary! Costa Rica is such a beautiful destination to mark that special occasion. We did the morning ride and it got hot when we were out by the water. I think it was 3 hours total with 1hour to get out to the spot walking in part through jungle, 45 minutes or so riding along the beach with a pit stop near the ocean, and 1hour back. My wife thought it was going to be more 'beach' than what it was. I liked it. I think we paid $195 for 4 to ride and part of that was a late fee because my son switched his mind and wanted to actually ride. I hope this helps and enjoy your time in CR!
