Good afternoon, I want to acquire your inks I have read good references about that you can mix with the originals and that they do not cover the head but I would like to know what would be the average time when the impression would begin to deteriorate or degrade the color of the impression.
Indeed, our ink is specifically formulated and tested to mix with CANON's original ink without clogging or other issues. The pigments used are lightfast, so truly this ink can be considered archival and used anywhere you currently use CANON ink. It's difficult to specify an average time because that depends on so much, including the paper and the specific environment. For any prints that must look perfect for life (weddings, etc...), always use acid-free archival paper. But, simply put, you can use this ink in place of CANON's ink for any work you do!

There is another video from someone else here on youtube, the better way is to remove the small panel above and in front of the cartridges, once removed you can remove all the cartridges at will. I used this system today, worked perfectly and no need to put this little panel back again, just left it out and refilling is a breeze now !!!
there is no need to puncture it, stop suggesting this to people and ruin their equipment, u just need to remove 4 screws and pour the toner into the groove, then spinning the magnet to make sure toner is going inside.
Note that these refill instructions are intended for untrained end users filling their own cartridges, not for remanufacturers or refill shops who are recycling cartridges professionally for resale. As such, the goal of these instructions is to be as simple and most importantly error-resistant as possible while still providing more than acceptable print quality for home and office users. Melting a hole in the cartridge is going to be far easier for an untrained user and more forgiving than attempting disassembly. When the hole is hermetically sealed with the aluminum tape provided with our refill kits, toner does not leak out during use, and so there is absolutely no damage being done to the user's equipment.
I did this with the black ink on my 910 XL and the printer still won’t print anything black. The cartridge is appropriately saturated, but nothing. Any recommendations?
If absolutely nothing comes out, then the sponge is seized up. This can happen on occasion when a cartridge goes totally empty, especially if the cartridge sat unused for an extended time. This is why it's so important to refill before the cartridge goes totally dry, if at all possible. The only recourse when this happens is to replace the cartridge, unfortunately. Of course, you can absolutely refill the new black cartridge next time and unlock fantastic savings long-term, as you can on your other colors right now!
I actually refilled it the cartridge right as the prints started becoming streaky. I printed a few more documents (~20 pages) and then then the black ink stopped printing. Does that mean anything?
I really need to know the reason for needing a spare since i just bought my printer used and i dont have one, and already the first message i got was that it beeds a new maintenance cartridge
If your maintenance cartridge is already finished, then there is no way to reset it. However, you can use it as your spare. For now, you will absolutely need to buy a new maintenance tank and you can later reset that one using your current one as your spare. As for the reason, it's simply the only way that it was possible to reverse-engineer a resetter for this printer. 1. You can only reset a working tank (not totally finished) and 2. You need a spare tank as well (but this one can be empty or full, doesn't matter).
If I understand this correctly..basically if I had the OG cartridges it came with when I first bought the printer, they are now no longer printing because there is no more ink, and I get new authentic cartridges, and use those ones up until they can no longer be used, and then buy refill kits off ebay, I then refill the 2nd batch of cartridges I bought...then I insert the OG cartridges to "reset" the printer/chip, then put in the refilled cartridges, would that work? I can repeat this process indefinitely? I've been trying to research online but I'm not sure if I can use the old OG cartridges to reset the tank if I need to again...thank you!

2024 and I made it to my ink cartridges, it was very useful ... and I saved a lot of money. I made a hole by melting a metal and touched it to plastic container to the said part of ink cartridge . Not too big ,just can fit the size of a needle of syringed. I followed the instructions ... 3ml for the colored ink ,6 ml for black ink .

Melting a hole definitely works too, and there's no problem doing it. However, in our testing, we determined that there was practically zero risk of plastic shavings provoking clogging of the heads or causing any other printer issues. The design of the cartridge valve plus the printer's own internal design makes it unlikely for shavings to make it all the way to the printhead nozzles. Furthermore, by drilling horizontally as shown in the video, we limit how many shavings even get inside the cartridge in the first place. We have not experienced a single head clog over multiple cartridges drilled on multiple separate printers in our lab, nor have we had any reports from customers of clogging since launching our refill kits for LC404 and LC406 earlier this year. You can absolutely be confident drilling into your cartridges with either a power drill or with our handheld tool! I definitely hope you try our product out both for the fantastic cost savings you'll benefit from and environmental benefit of no longer needing to discard perfectly good cartridges!
Why are you advising for second cartridges? We must be able to refill the current cartridges when they are used like 75%, what's the issue here that i am not able to understand?
If you refill cartridges before they are fully empty and you do not alternate as described in the video, the printer will eventually reject your refilled cartridge with the message "Impossible to Use Continuous Ink System". This is simply the way the printer was programmed and there is no way around it. If there existed a method to refill this printer without owning multiple cartridges, we would of course have endorsed that method instead!
We provide the tape strip for free in our refill kits just in case the plug gets damaged during removal, so that the cartridge can still be sealed. We also sell replacement plugs as well on our website for that purpose.
I'd like to order the the North American holemaking tool, but does it come with a plug so I can plug up my MFP m277 dw Hewlett Packard cartridge after I make the hole? I didn't see those plugs for sale on your website.
The hole needs to be sealed with aluminum duct tape for it to be truly airtight. This tape should be provided with the toner kit, but if ever you need, you can always order some from us along with the tool.
Please be sure you have the orange clip attached during the refill process and only remove it when the plug is put back in. If the problem continues, definitely contact your vendor for support!
Been using these for four years now on my MFC-J6930W. Sometimes "cannot detect cartridge" will pop up on a tank (after a year or two). Have tried replacing battery on the chip, never successful. Bought a full new set of cartrige's and replace just the chip (slides right off the tank). Most recent chip change didn't work. Cleaned the points with a pencil eraser (on the brand new chip that's been in my cupbord for 2 years) and away it went. Wish I'd have started with that. Either way, happy with this product. Huge $$ savings over time. Can't buy just the chips but if you love your printer and in it for the long haul, Inkowl is a no-brainer. Again, chips on the tanks only last about 2 years in service so expect to replace them but.... Yeah, worth it.

I picked up a Brother printer that uses the LC61 ink (specifically because it has no chip) and found these on aliexpress, asked myself "What about the door sensor issue.." and this answers it perfectly.
