Hey! Thanks for the video. Also did you heard or tried the app named Time-lapse by ReeLapse? They are adding even the motion blur and so on. Will be helpfull if you will give your professional opinion) good luck and thanks for inspiration!)
You should have mentioned at least two superb features: - extended pan/tilt options to do (fake) movements- very impressive and a unique feature of that app! - have some idiot run through your 50 minute Timelapse and ruin it? No prob - the app lets you select and delete that frame and recreates a replacement by merging the picture before and after that „bad“ frame.
Looks good, I use Moment Camera App also because I thought until now that was the only app that did motion blur (long exposure) in jpeg in a timelapse, but will definitely get this one too and check how it’s long exposure in daytime without filters work , thanks for this recommendation 👍🏻
Great little app!! Will definitely use this in future and the best part is, it's a ONE-OFF purchase... none of this subscription nonsense! Thanks for sharing :)
I like using Timelapse - Life app, yes of course it has flaws but for my tasks it is the best. The most important feature for me is the interval photography, it gives me the possibility to edit and get better results when making videos. I often shoot with several wide-angle and telephoto lenses at the same time to get better coverage of all the objects in the frame. I hope the developer will finalise all the gimbal and remote control features and fix all the bugs, then it will definitely be the best app for me.
Thanks so much for this! In the past, I've always created my timelapses (mostly of the Northern Lights) in camera. The other night, I decided to just take the series of photos... with the intention of creating a star trail image. The Aurora had other ideas though so I ended up having to convert those stills to a timelapse on the computer. I had already viewed one other video about creating a timelapse in Resolve but yours was so much more useful! I will say that I was shooting RAW on a Nikon camera (NEF) and was able to create the timelapse without converting to DNG. A couple of things that may be useful for others: 1) this method only works if you import a whole folder at once. I initially tried selecting a subset of files from a folder and Resolve failed to create a sequence. Instead, I had a slide show rather than a timelapse video. 2) as someone else mentioned, if you're using the free version, when changing the timeline settings, use the target video resolution (eg. 1920x1080 or 3840x2160) instead of the size of your import files and set the Mismatched Resolutions setting to "Scale full frame with crop". With a little trial and error, I managed to get a very nice time lapse. Thank you!
Hi, my image folder when I import into the Vinci, it doesn't recognise as it sequence. It imports as individual images. What should I do? Thanks. Do I need to buy the Vinci studio?
Hi Matthew, thanks for the tutorial, when I'm trying to put my image folder into master, it doesn't go like yours. It's selects individual JPEG file. And my timeline shows only one picture instead of 200. Please let me know. Thanks.
Hi. I have a canon 7D Mark II with EFS lenses. Mostly use the 18-135 for travel. I use APSC to keep the size and weight down. However I still sometimes struggle to fit the camera and 2 lenses in my bag. My little compact doesn't shoot raw. Do you think this is a great camera for traveling light. I use DXO photolab 7 and I'm wondering if the camera is supported and if DXO lens corrections will help make an acceptable image. I'm not expecting it to match the 7Dii performance, but when I was forced to take my compact with zoom and 6mm sensor to India I was so disappointed only having Jpeg images.
A few points from my experience with Olympus and Panasonic MFT. I think the size, weight, cost advantage disappeared a few years ago. My lumix G9 is about 2x the size/weight of my Canon M6II (32MP sensor). Both roughly the same price. Also, to get full advantage of the camera (stabilization or focus stacking) you may need to use a proprietary lens. Somewhat diminishing the point of lenses being cheaper and widely available?
Great tutorial, when your mounting your gear on a balcony do seek the owners permission for example if your just staying in a great hotel room with a great view. I have used suction pads in the past but shooting through glass isn't great sometimes.

I think the camera is great , owning an IT company we have some clients interested, the only problem I see is the cost . We have clients probably interested in paying about 390 a month ( that seems cheaper than what other company’s are charging but with the subscription the tikee 4 is a big investment considering you have to buy a unit per client and the time to get your money back . The tiki mini seems a much cheaper product that makes it more interesting, do you really see a massive difference between the mini and the tikee 4 ?
Yes, I would like to see how you built the rig. Also, is there a reason this needs to be done in AE or is it possible to do everything in Davinci Resolve? Have a wonderful honeymoon!
