Steamed broccoli=15% vitamin C lost. Microwave broccoli=85% vitamin C lost Microwave is the least healthy and most toxic method of cooking Convenience always comes at a cost
I appreciate the video for explaining how microwaves work. However I feel toaster ovens are far superior to the microwave when it comes to reheating leftovers. I experience a more uniform heating and prefer the taste of the food compared to leftovers reheated in the microwave. Anyone else?
Who on earth would any credence whatsoever to anything Tyson has to say???,… he is a “vaccine-manufacturer-schill” / “vaccine-injury-denyer”! Some of the flat out DUMBEST “people” I have ever known, write “phd” after their name!
ok neil is a bit wrong here microwaves can destroy some of the protiens in foods and make them taste a bit worse, but health wise it doesnt really change much also microwaved foods are just not as good for you, specifically microwave preprepared meals, they tend to be less healthy
320° for 20 minutes, middle rack. Reheat your lasagne in the oven. Simple. Taste way better than microwave. - Avoid eating microwave foods as much as possible. You’re welcome.
My girlfriend just told me to microwave an empty plate as an experiment as she did not believe Neil, and it ended up scalding hot, NDT is talking shite
as someone who enjoys cooking and culinary, I see why Gordon Ramsay is against microwaves, because not only its lazy but its unprofessional and NO passion being put into your dish.
How does he explain heating plates in the microwave? Microwaves absolutely reduce nutrition. Plastics leech something like 50 different chemicals into the food when heated in the microwave. This guy is a world class liar.
This talk is not what I expected. Neil talked about vibrating "ferociously" which creates friction in the water in our food. Many people will not stand near a microwave for fear of its possible impact on the body. Being that we're 97% (or so) water can microwaves do the same to us? Fish in the microwave is a no. Fries do not come out of the microwave in any proper state
They definitely aren't. Neither are smart meters, or the electrical wiring in our walls for that matter. There is no interest in funding research around it though.
He is a liar, that's how. We heat our plates too. Plastics can leech close to 50 chemicals into your food when heating on the microwave, yet this moron is so confidently spewing this positivity about them
Microwave ovens Destructure the water molecule that's why it's bad. For a little more breakdown, the food is heated by heating the Water by vibrating the structure of the water so you're changing the geometry of the water which is actually foundationally very important on some levels
I haven't owned a microwave oven in about 20 years. It may be true that they are safe, but I just don't like the way food tastes after being in one. Also, one time our kettle was broken and we tried making tea with water heated in the microwave - it made the tea taste really strange. I don't know if this is a health issue or just a taste issue, but I just like the taste better of food and beverages made the old-fashioned way.
