Artisan 2 has so many applications for architectural and landscape modeling. Our next video will demonstrate how to use Artisan to add roof details. Stay tuned!

So pleased to see a native tutorial for A2!! They are few & far between! Would be fantastic to see MORE indepth SubD videos - organic modelling workflows etc.
OK.. neat, but how would you use Artisan 2 to uniformly adjust the curved sloping wall head height vertical Dimension to be equal above each contour? Is there gradient fall option?
Really wish artisan hadn't gone subscription. Just don't have time or money for them anymore. I'd buy it if it were priced competitively, much like other MSS plugins (specifically PB4).
Would be great if it could distribute the objects evenly across a span, with two options: first by only taking into account the centers of the objects, and second, placing them in a line so that the distance between each of their bounding boxes is the same (so a big frame, then a 10cm gap, then a small frame, then another 10cm gap... and so on). Guess it would be another tool. "Arrange" instead of Align, for instance.
As a new user, this video is absolutely essential. Glad i found it early in my Sketchup learning. Understanding Outliner should be a companion video to this video.
I challenge ANYONE to try and follow this and replicate what's in the video. There is no logic behind the process whatsoever. Why is the bottom rail a span and not simply another profile member? When the span 'scales to fit' how does this translate if you need to adjust the original component? How did you make the span component... was it pre-assembled with this fence prior? What measurements did you use and why? Just showing what this extension can do is not enough... you need to explain the logic behind it much more.
I had to adjust my offsets A LOT more than in this video. It was very frustrating and I only got it to work by trial and error. I still don't understand it.
3:19 I can't get this to work in Sketchup Pro 2023. Instead, it starts the process from scratch (ie. Iterations: 1, not 3 as shown in the video, even when I apply 3 iterations, it still reverts back to 1 when I click on it again).
I was really hoping this video would answer my questions. I've watch MANY video on the follow me tool and spend countless hours and it will simply not work for me 99i% of the time. The follow me tool often deactivates as soon as I click on the profile. or it says the "path must be perpendicular ... " when it is. This is so frustrating. Everyone else just flies thru it, but it refuses to work for me. And yes I pick the path first.
Dale, this looks awesome, will there be a comprehensive library of assemblies available? My problem was I sucked at making assemblies and relied on user and sample libraries for version 3, but there were so few available.
Thanks! This is something we are looking into. First we need to do some research to find out what types of assemblies are users are most interested in. Any thoughts on what types should be prioritized?
@@mind.sight.studios Dale, I would like a library of stairs, railings, maybe road surfaces with curbs that can follow a path, festoon lights would be awesome, chains, ropes, trusses, and so on, my needs differ from say an architect as I'm using it for TV sets and outdoor game shows.
I’ve been using Profile Builder for a number of years and it has been my favorite plugin. I appreciate that mindsite is not a subscription model. I will definitely be upgrading to 4. It looks great!
