Hey! 👋🏿 Unfortunately I'm not helpful with this one 😩, when I flew out, they "locked" the USA bound flights from the other intl ones (was NYC bound) and had us do extra security and we didn't have any restaurants 😣 (I was planning on a pretzel 😂😒)
Great video. I enjoyed how you edited views of different places in-between. I'm pleasantly surprised by the many options you found in Vancouver. I hope you consider including more affordable options than nice restaurants in the future. Keep it up 😊
Is English closed captioning not showing for anyone else? 🤨 I promised I CCed this video, but for some reason only "auto captions" are showing as an option (which I deleted 🫣) ETA: I republished, and it said "processing may take a few hours", that's a first 😳🫣, apologies for those that utilize CC, this is frustrating 😩
You obviously put a lot of time and effort into the production side and the visuals are very good, couple things though. It really sounds like you are kind of yelling and maybe try not reading from a script. People want to feel like they are there with you and the script reading is distracting and a bit annoying. It doesn't sound authentic at all. No one refers to fast food french fries as a "dish." We need a little genuine personality to go along with the great camera work!
Thank you for the compliment regarding the visual aspects, and also thank you for the honest feedback. ☺️ I'll try to watch out for volume in future audio recordings for the videos I haven't started editing yet and will try to make sure it isn't an issue (I've already made the next few though and can't backtrace 🫣) As for the scripts, while I do write bullet points, I don't write a transcript and therefore can't read from it, nor do I look at my screen with the bullet points while recording (unless a dish has 10 ingredients and I'm not going to remember it, then that's the only time I ever look and record simultaneously, but that's uncommon) Also how people interpret "dish" varies a lot on locale or culture. A dish is simply a "meal or part of a meal" according to Cambridge dictionary, which the animal style fries were.
Thank you for your support and glad you enjoyed! 💖 Also thank you for the honest feedback as it helps me improve as a video creator and editor! 🫶🏿 You just reminded me to change the hertz settings on my new computer for my mic 🫣, I already did some voiceovers for the next month's (out of order) worth of footage on the mic though 😬 in a sound proof room so I'm curious to see if it's a sound proofing issue or simply a frequency tuning issue (I hope it's an easy fix as the current mic wasn't cheap 😅🫣)
Wowwww, I love your channel thank you for posting these! Back when I lived in Puddle-Town there were only a handful of vegan places - looks like it's time for a visit! 🥬
I hope so too. 🤞🏿 They did recently add vegan kebaks 🙌🏿 on the NEC (North East Corridor) if you take the Aecla and I believe some type of burger? I'm hoping to do a longer trip within the next couple years so I'm gonna have to get creative with ordering vegan sides from the non vegan entrees 😂
Portland has a amazing food scene. There is nearly every culture you can imagine represented. And vegan is absolutely normal to find everywhere. More fun is the collision of hybrid cuisines. Thank you for highlighting the amaxing variety of vegan choices available across Portland. Where in many cities you might find one or two vegan options. As you showed so well, Portland has a large and diverse array of amazing all vegan restaurants. And also as you showed, a lot of street art.
Good question! I only had so much time there and therefore I wanted to eat foods I more likely would enjoy (if the dish was unique then I would've tried even with mixed opinions, but not plain cinnamon rolls 🫣). In cities where I'm able to spend long periods of time, then I'm more likely to try foods with mixed reviews if I'm craving it (or if there's a lack of options of course). 😊
This is fantastic! I live here and you've tried more things than I have! Always cool to see what people from outside of Canada have to say. Can't wait to dig into your train one!
Yeah they all closed like within a month of each other (along with the cheese shop too within that month) 😣😔, Mooshka also closed recently too now 😔, Amsterdam's restaurants are struggling 😩
I looove the vegan food in Athens. I missed some taverns in your list because most of them have incredible vegan food and are more cheap than these specific vegan places. And they show the real greek feeling. :) Buuut great video!!
Yeah I unfortunately didn't learn about the traditionally ones until my Athens trip was towards the end 🙈, but I look forward to exploring some next time I'm there! 🤞🏿 And thank you for watching, glad you enjoyed! 💕
This could be one of the best vegan foodie videos I have ever watched. I could almost taste each dish and I definitely want to The Netherland after seeing this. Great work and many thanks.
