I make content about Satisfactory & Techtonica. I'm always looking to make content on games that feature automation / base building functionality.
All content I do I try to be as educational as I can to help others thrive in the games (Guides, Tutorials, Let's Plays, Reviews, etc! )
I'm a father of 4 beautiful kids (two of whom are on the Spectrum). My kids are my #1 audience so I try my best to remain family friendly across all platforms I use.

To the naysayers that suggests thus stifles creativity. This is a basic guide, and there's abundant scope for customisation and design still available. No-one does something and expects to gain mastery of it without looking at the work of their peers. I can use these designs in a myriad different ways and in my own designed mega factory allowing me to concentrate on the bigger picture.. As Newton said "If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants." If it's good enough for Newton, it's good enough for me ;)
Starter factory my ass. This is a professional end game factory. This is probably the game you play all the time and have every build product memorized.
i set mine up the same as the video but my last 3 coal generators never have enough coal. I have even added an extra coal miner to have more coal but it doesnt seem to help
Manifolds FTW. If "something" happens and you lose half the input, then you are the problem, not the belt system. Wraping half of your factory in belts just in case is not the way to go. If you sink the final product only, the rest will balance itself out eventually. In this world of endless resources there is no other reason to go load balancers but to grow your OCD to its terminal stage.
lol im at the point where my actual factories are decently organised, be it a bit cramped. but the belts running between the factories we will not talk about
Excellent video! If you build your load balancers with endgame resource speeds in mind, you never have to redo your structures. Also, turning down factory speeds drastically enhances early game power usage. The power of spaghetti manifolds in the early game cannot be understated though, always my goto when first harvesting a resource.
5:44 Oh, it only takes 6 minutes to refuel my 2000 MW bio-fuel factory. And the forestry operations, honestly not so bad. Ok, it's pretty bad, but doing something wrong, but efficiently is what gaming is to me. The alien protein-biomass constructor only takes 0.1 MW.
I like using a combination of manifold and load balancing for loading into smelters / refiners / etc. When I split off of the manifold, I use a mk 1 belt, so that it only takes a maximum of 60, and then split that 60 between the 2 or so machines next to the manifold entrance.
3rd floor before (reinforced iron plates) he adds an extra floor on each sides and doesnt say anything.. took so long to figure out where i went wrong, had to delete a lot of work. Update: i missread/counded step 1 i did 16 not 18 wide. Oops.
i suggest u put mk.2 belts between the mergers at the outputs if u have enough reinforced plates, cos it'll help the factory to overflow and work at 100% efficiency (btw thanks for the video, amazing job)
Thank you SO much for providing builds that don't use overclocking. I struggle with the MAM (scared to explore :-) ) and lots of teachers only mention very efficient, over-clocked builds. Your style also makes the most sense to me. It's like we prioritize the same things in this game. As a newbie, thank you!!
Question that's probably noob-ish since I just started playing this week. You said the manifold layout is scalable, but beyond that 30/30 splitter I don't see how all future smelters operate efficiently. They just get exactly how many they need so there's no overflow. Since 120 is all I can get off a Mk2 belt, am I just hard limited to 4 smelters per miner until I find a way to upgrade? Or do I underclock the later smelters until there's a backup farther down the line?
Shit i knew about searching for buildings and for products with the quicksearch but not about that you vould calculate stuff with it… always had calculater app open in background lol
This desperately needs a topdown tutorial with all the unnecessary walking etc edited out. It's VERY disorienting seeing where to place things in POV....
