Really? Why flick you wet fingers back on the fish?? How ‘bout wiping with a kitchen disinfectant soak towel to curtail germs 🦠. Step up ⬆️, or step off. Tackiness is not cute 😮.
Thank you for taking the time to share this whiting recipe with us!! I bought a LOT of frozen whiting a few weeks ago and want to try to mask that fishy taste with a better taste! I'm sure the way you make it is super tasty, I loved those types of breading before I switched over to the ketogenic diet 2 years ago, which has dramatically improved my health and weight and can help reverse diabetes and fatty liver disease and can even help stop alzheimers, dementia, schizophrenia, seizures, and skin problems (I know, sounds crazy, almost too good to be true, but for 2 years I've been following doctors and people with PhDs who do research on the ketogenic and carnivore diets and the facts about how the ketogenic diet improves health and heals and prevents serious diseases is amazing. I can use pork rinds or almond flour as crispy breading while on the keto diet. There is a woman who made a keto cookbook who even found a way to make roasted chicken breast flour! It looked a light golden-brown crispy! But the most common breading on keto is almond flour or crushed pork rinds. I just say this all because I thought your video is very nice and you seem like a wonderful person to take the time to share the recipe. I wanted to say God bless you and I wanted to share with you my favorite doctors I follow on youtube, who support the healthy keto diet. Dr. Ken Berry and Dr. Eric Berg are two wonderful sources of keto information. Kelly Hogan is a woman who lost lots of weight on a keto diet, she has her testimony on youtube (There are so many other people with powerful testimonies about how keto helped them) But I definitely reccomend to check out Dr. Ken Berry first here on youtube, he explains so much important information. Eric Berg does great explanations too but I think Ken Berry does a better job and he has been a family physician for 20 years. There are so many other medical doctors that I could name off but I think Ken Berry does a great job explaining, I hope that the other doctors and experts who also are on youtube will pop up in related videos for you so you are able to do a deep dive into the science and benefits of living a ketogenic lifestyle. If you have any questions about keto, feel free to reach out to me or anyone else in the keto community on the videos. Dr. Ken Berry goes live to answer questions every Monday night too. I can't easily keep from sharing information about keto, I know it can save lives. Something about the care you put into making this fish on film for us made me want to reach out to you to share the information with you. Thanks again for sharing the whiting recipe! I hope this information helps you in some way!
Thank you for sharing this easy plus delicious recipe…FYI I usually put my frozen filets in a large plastic baggie/any plastic bag zip lock or tie bag…put in in warm water..I find it helps without having all that water absorption…This will be my first time frying Whiting..thanks to you❤
Caype gourmet fish is terrible. Disintegrates in oil. Some areas it’s difficult finding fresh fish or better brands. Great American or wholly brand is much better but harder to find
Another this is you can lay the fish on wax paper paper lined in the aluminum pan and then put paper on top of each layer and let it sit it will pull out a lot of the water
I was just thinking about frying some whiting, but I could never get it right with frozen filets. And then BAM...here you are to the rescue.😎. Thank you for sharing your knowledge 🙏🏾
I watched your video , because i purchased the same thing you cooked , a bag of frozen whiting with the skin on , please tell me was the fish mushy inside after you cooked it ? And does the skin create a problem when eating it , like chewy toughness ? I have had lots of fresh caught whiting when i lived in NJ , and was always delicious, but now in KY , there is only frozen seafood , thanks for your video , i think i am ready to give it a go , Exceptional cooking lesson !!!!
It's been a long time since I tried to fry up some whiting so I looked around for some tips to help me remember. After watching your video - I think I'll do a good job!
I will say that I do the same thing that you do until a certain step. I do not like the skin on a fish if it’s filling I do not want to skin so what I do is take it out of the freezer and wait for the tips to get a littledivorce it that I just simply pulled skin off this excellent but thank you for what you’re saying because that’s exactly how I do my fish
Looks delicious. I can’t do the fish fry rub as it looks as it is flour based. In other fish recipes they soak up excess water with paper towels. Your method of pressing the fish to release the water into the pane saves on paper towels. 👍
Stacy , this was exactly what I needed as I bought frozen Whiting too! I am not going to use a batter, but like you did , just use my own seasoned self made flour and put it in Olive oil to fry. You gave me such confidence and I appreciate all you do for us!!! Keep going , thank you ~
@@staceybrown-louis6522 It came out perfect. Doesn't take much for me to be happy so i was really happy when i was done. And i didn't have to watch a 2 hr video.. lol Thank you so much
So glad i found your video. It's very well done, o feel like I'm in the kitchen with you,, learning and now I don't have to feed the frozen fish to the coyotes. The first time I baked two with just some seasoning and they were AWFUL . I'm gonna try your method right now 😁
I'm so excited to try this your way! I'm definitely going to use the lemon. Hubs likes the fishiness and I do not. I accidentally bought whole frozen whiting one day and have no idea on how to cook a whole fish so I just youtubed how to filet it. Lucky me your video showed up Having hubs get some fish Fri now
Wooooooo looks sooooooo delicious ♡♡♡. I'm thawing mine right now and plan to prepare like you did. I hope you are doing well 💗. You're a very nice, calm lady♡
Love it. You answered all my question. The only thing I did different was squeeze the water out of the fish. I have a plastic cutting board that I placed in the sink on a downward angle. Then used one paper towel and squeeze the water out. Also didn’t have cooking oil, but had crisco vegetable lard? Came out good and you removed my fear of cooking frozen fish.
