My son and I saw you guys out there last weekend. I was gonna motor over and say hello, but I didn’t want to interrupt your morning. Thanks for the videos!
Long lake is where I live and have fished for bass and trout. I love to start fishing for walleye. Where would you recommend I start looking for them? Beginning of lake by Nine Mile? Middle by Willow Bay or west end by the Avista dam ? Thanks for your help.
How’s it trolling for them? It’s been about 8 years since they started planting them in there. So I’m guessing the fishings a little better now. The only way before I’ve heard of people catching them on this lake is through the ice. Like @goldmarkshark7808 said I’d be nice to have another alternative to the chinook fishing on CDA. I’d imagine the bait, tackle, gear and techniques to catch them is probably similar.
Those blemishes on the fish look like catfish herpes. It is transmissible to people so take precautions. It’s a real thing: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3230846/ 3:40
Are you allowed to take the fish home with you or is it only catch and release at that lake? Also, is that fish good to eat or are the fish contaminated?
Are you kidding ? I'm going to drive that far and spend that much time just to catch a Perch ? I can anchor in 25 feet of water around Seward Park, and catch as many of those as I want.
Was just there. Stayed accross the street at the dive resort. Van rippers was nice and the guy working the store there was helpful and they had some good fishing stuff. The other resort in the harbor with a bigger store clearly has much more fishing supplies. But beautiful place to visit and fish.

I grew up 7 miles from Sacheen, 8 from Davis and 1 1/2 from Diamond. I've never fished Sacheen in my life! Grandma used to take me to Davis, in her 10' johnboat, the Kokanee limit was 21, and she'd limit every single time! Didn't fish Diamond a whole lot, though I started to a few years later, when living on the lake. Blue Swamp AKA Mountain Meadows! That's where we fished! Back then, early 80s, only a handful of people knew about that lake. Most of them were relatives. We would catch 7 pound bass and 15" perch, on a regular basis! As an interesting side note, at that time, our neighbors and extra set of grandparents, when he was a kid, 1899, his family owned all that property. Blue Swamp didn't exist, and they farmed wheat. One year, he thought 1905ish, they lost a plow, team of horses, and his Grandpa!! They sunk into mud, and water flooded the whole field! That water is Blue Swamp!
