Btw for anyone confused on how to save both Kate and Jamie in the wall. Whoever has the screwdriver needs to have the wall go towards them. Jamie was who had it here so if Berlin didnt sell here and let the wall go to him, the screwdriver wouldn't cracked the wall while pressing against it.
the hints that the curator gives are actually really useful, and i might be just saying that cuz im majoring in literature, but i understand it well and when playing videogames like this, the global background i have helps. its not boring if you understand it
It's funny how quick they flipped on this game, but what's crazy is I was feeling the exact same way, lmao. Def the weakest of the Anthology, hopefully they'll bounce back with the next one
wait, so y’all talk throughout the whole game, miss important information, not even pay attention to dialogue, got your own characters offed BECAUSE of not paying attention, speed run the end (miss important information) then complain that not enough information was presented, complain about cut scenes being jumpy (again, maybe you should have saved your characters), then just whine about literally EVERY TINY THING towards the games outcome with the worst attitude imaginable like some spoiled and bitter youtubers , in the last 30 minutes (AGAIN, the outcome yall got was because of how you played it. Paid no attention, talked through everything etc) and just completely call the game trash because y’all own mistakes. Embarrassing bruv.
Right??? Aslo When berlin said they never revealed who the killer was i was like huuuuuhhhhh?? They even went to his HOME.. only if they paid attention 💀💀
berlin could have used the screwdriver that Jamie had and once it got too close to her the screwdriver would have broken the glass instead of Jamie killing her 😭
yall really be tryna big brain this shit when it's all information given to you! PG please 😭😭 It be so frustrating watching krysta make sense and be talked over , like she must feel insane lmaaooo then some of them just be fckn around constantly , like can we get a grip 😂
Everybody mad that they weren’t getting immersed clearly didn’t listen to what they were saying at the end of the video. I too am a huge fan of The Dark Anthology games, every time a new one comes out I get together with my brother and play it in one sitting. This game was absolutely not it, horrible writing, so unfinished and just overly disappointing. I agree with everything said at the end they dropped the ball on this one and I really hope after a couple years the Directive 8020 brings back that spark that truly got everyone hooked in the first place.
they were never immersed from the start, i’d understand the critique if they actually played the game…but they were talking over dialogue and everything from the very start. smh. Then have the audacity to say they take this seriously. yea okay.
Choosing to kill Erin will do just that - kill Erin - while making no choice will keep Kate alive (see above) but still kill Erin... Choosing to kill Kate is your own choice to keep both alive.... bro both of them could've lived....
So after this epsiode as a new watcher, ima offer my thoughts. One, iman just say what we're all thinking, the energy was weird af. I feel what started it initially was the talking and lack of immersion, but the first mistake was telling everyone to stfu, instead of calmly expressing to the group that the talkng is messing with your immersion. The way he said it sounded like a dad and immediately shifted the energy, then he asks why no ones talking. 😭 I think the next part was largely how the group interacted with Krysta. I feel like the way she reaponded to a lot of the situation needlessly escalated things, or came off too hostile. In conjunction to that, berlin through some sneak comments her way as well which also added to that conflict. Rio sadly just didnt offer anything dialogue wise. I have nothing negatife to saw but equally nothing positive. He was just kinda there for most of thr playthrough. I feel like overall jojo, joe, and pg. Everyone beefed with someone at different points, but they felt pretty immersed. (Krysta felt pretty immersed too, but im talking about these gents atm.) Jojo, heavily checked out after his character dies though. You see him slouch back and just kinda watch. Whole group dynamic was just off, hope they talk some things out and improve on that. Or switch up the dynamic. As for the actual gang, ngl gang, I think this game kinda sucks. Certain decisions punish you way too much out of nowhere, and the plot itself was not only bland (ahhhh, killer chases us in a special house) but was incoherent. None of the characters were largely interesting as we had no proper time with them before getting thrown into the meat of the game. The quarry is largely better. It had nicer charavter models and animations, better/fairer choices, and more time to be with the characters. I can honestly see how the game broke their immersion. Game felt rushed as heck dude.
In terms of team compatibility and interaction, it felt like this was worse than the quarry I'm not going to lie. In the quarry some of the characters died on some BS but they made it towards. Legit it didn't work for the PG/dontai interaction in the house with Chris Hackett, they would've gotten to Silas. This game low-key felt like a fumble on the consumer and producer end in this series. Still love everyone though. 🐸
Yeah after watching more, it's everyone. Joe and Krysta full stopped the moment kinda harsh. Like these aren't strangers, they're the homies. Everyone's just laughing and having fun with the game in their own way. Should've paused and just had a real og moment over yelling "shut the fuck up". If Joe had approached it like "hey y'all, I love that you're having fun, but please when we're at cut scenes, can you be silent. Likewise myself. I feel like we're missing out on important details and it's honestly kind of messing with my immersion." I feel like everyone would've been chill after that. But you can see how energy shifted from them to about halfway in. I say the same for Krysta, instead of snapping, gently communicate what your issue is. We're inside, playing a game with friends, it's never that deep. As for the rest, berleezy and other who might've thrown sneak shots were also problematic in the scenario. "say it to the mic" too is needlessly trying to escalate things. "aye dude, why are you being so rude (or hostile" is a more direct and less confrontational sentence. I'm everyone part, they need to get a grip. Some need to take the stick out their ass, and others need to learn how to stfu. 💀🗣️
