Buying the game intending to create beautiful federations. Your 5th playthrough is you getting tired of getting placed next to Devouring Swarms, Exterminators and Purifiers in the early game. Cause it happens every time. You make a little empire that´s supposed to sit tall in it´s little corner of the galaxy. And yet. every. time. these. xenos. fuck. around. and. find. out. You don´t want to kill them of course. You could hardly be bothered with them behind your 50k+ strong star bases and fortress worlds. But then they become just that tiny little bit obnoxious. Send that one little insult and as such determined their existence to be no longer of need.
1st playthrough - be nice and diplomatic with everyone - be annihilated by an extremely agresive alien race 5st playthrough -create the mightiest navy in the universe -war with everyone
I feel that stamina is really draining the life out of this game. Especially ptera and beipi. The other thing is migration, there are so few herbis these days and nesting is completely ruined.
it happened to me when Noname commented under one of my vid asking if i needed help with adjusting the settings of OBS, guess Noname is a menace to society
It would get very toxic very fast. The long necks of the Hatz and Quetz would allow them to peck down at anyone while staying out of bite range. There would be nothing other Apexes could do against them at that point.
Comparing Flight Mechanics in The Isle and Path of Titans Comparing apples to Oranges, different species, different type of game (realism vs arcade) ayye I play them all, but ffs this is dumb
PoT's flight is very fun and interactive imo. Hatz gets extremely fast with rapid diving. Hatz also burns stamina significsntly faster if flying slowly
Isle flying feels disembodied for me, like you are just a passenger on the back of the pteranodon. Turning and maneuvering in Pot actually feels like you have control of the creature, with each of them having their own weights, styles and optimal speed gain techniques.
@@nugget587Yes, isle is more realistic but hia comment was never about it. He said one makes you feel like you have more control while the other doesn't. More realistic doesn't automatically equate to better
PoT flying is like a toned down version of the ARK griffin, whereas Isles flying is more like a roller coaster ride but only the beginning climb. Slow and steady until you reach the top.
Nah pots diving way of flying is actually pretty fun especially on hatz nothing wrong with it no hate to the isle but it's flying especially while fast flying is laggy af
people gripe and moan about stamina on fliers when they constantly hold the shift key in both games, they don't understand that in both models sprint flight is meant to be used sparingly and only for emergency situations. POT is way more gamey with the swoops, but I do find it fun, you can still easily cover the entire map with either flier without even running out of stam. I would love both games to have the blend of options.
Youre right but sadly since the Hatzegopteryx nerf on path, if you arent sprint flying you drain stamina at almost twice the rate. (1:56 seconds of flight while sprinting 1:00-1:10 while slow flying)
I mean isle ptera has limitations you can work out how to work with to make stamina last, but it feels like it takes too long to regen its stamina. Something feels off about the herrara having what atleast feels alot faster of a regen speed than ptera
25:27 is it? I don't think Pterosaurs had that much freedom of movement while airborne to the extent of PoT but correct me if I'm wrong. Either way, both games will be receiving thermal updrafts at some point which will make gaining altitude in The Isle much easier and allows PoT's flyers the speed they desperately need.
Yeah, you’re right on the movement thing because if we look at modern birds, there’s like one that can move back-and-forth and that’s just the hummingbird no other bird can do that. I think it’s pretty reasonable that the isles Ptera can’t go back-and-forth
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but those updrafts already exist in PoT. You can find a few of them out at sea exclusively. If they've said they'll be adding more that's one thing, but as far as I'm aware that's all they had planned for them.
I think my biggest problem with The Isle flight model is that sometimes when I try to turn left or right and press my left or right movement key it will turn right or left instead or in some cases will turn right or left and cease to turn further at a certain point. I think it's something about the camera that causes it, it's really noticeable if you try to turn when the camera is facing backwards. Either way it makes maneuvering difficult, especially when I'm turning around when hunting. Also unrelated to that, is anyone else's right click ability on Pteranodon broken? Mine just does not work.
For the final part (the right click ability thing), make sure you are using it on the surface of the what while flying. If it still doesn't work, I suggest you delete your config files for The Isle.
I’ve always found it funny how Path of Titans gives Thalassodromeus the ability to dive underwater when it couldn’t in real life and on the flip side The Isle doesn’t let Ptera dive underwater eventhough it most likely could.
