This man ! Bread and other pastries ! ? what a joke ! He uses far too much yeast and bicarb to make his bakes rise with a horrid taste ! Just for show ! Your products are just as awful, they need removing from supermarket chains !
Ignore the margarine, and you don’t need that processed jam either, boil the strawberries with some sugar ( no added water or just less than a quarter of a glass ) then put in a blender it’s perfectly jam for you. Also personally I’d love it with cream too.
I live in the southern U.S. Here we don't make scones, we make biscuits. Winter wheat flour and no sugar but roughly the same. I'm known for tall, fluffy, light as a cloud biscuits. I'm going to try your recipe to use for strawberry shortcake which here is a sweet biscuit, fresh strawberries in syrup and whipped cream. Thanks for the recipe (once I do the metric translations.)
i have made my first successful sourdough loaf using you method! It’s divine and has changed my life for the better! I love it so much I have bought all your books and reading and watching so much to learn more! Many thanks !
it was only after i purchased your book i realized it was not in american measurements. im lost please add our measurements so i can understand. if you dont mind
I don't like the "baby sitting" attitude of Paul, I don't like he started with Alistair at minute 6:08 instead of interviewing the people who helped him and Alistair creating his video. no limit for abuse in showbiz.
7:38 I like how the second tray of biscuits are squished down flat but when he puts them in the oven they are perfectly round xD Just remember guys these cooking channels make alot of attempt cooks before they show you the final product to make sure they look absolutely perfect
My grandparents were from the UK and grandma would make scones just like this. I wish professionals like you also offered videos for those with coeliac and gluten intolerance especially when baking without the 'crutch gums'. Your incite on how exactly the ingredients interact and what you are looking for is what is needed more. Have you ever considered doing a series on this sort of thing. Those scones look so delicious.
