Did you program the "DOWN" "READY" into each character specifically or is it programed into the UI? Because I did see a character someone made that just changed the UI and how rounds work but just the character being present. I've always wanted to make a game that had a similar round system like Vampire Savior/Killer Instinct. But I never knew where to start going about programing that in Mugen/Ikemen. Game's lookin great btw man, your doing some real sick work here.
Thanks man. Yea, I had to program to "DOWN" "READY" into the game. I used a combination of the NoKo Assertspecial flag and a helper (For the custom throw states). Also, the game must be set to only one round for it to work. Anyways, thanks for the support the game will be released soon, and you can look in the files to see how I did it.

definitely liking the progress on Season of the Souls! only gripe is the voice clips. Darkstalkers Chronicle for the Dreamcast has much higher quality voices for all the characters, plus Morrigan's high quality rips was used in CvS1 and 2, otherwise greatwork!
Thank you. The toughest part about this was the portraits. Most of the stuff I was using came from either darkstalkers resurrection or chaos tower. Since he wasn't in either port, I had to make due with what I could find.
So, remember that we were talking about additions to the game that would feel unique? I just remembered one thing: Ruby Heart, from Marvel VS Capcom 2 was originally a concept made for Darkstalkers. You could consider including her.
Yea, I remember that Amingo was also mentioned as a cut darkstalkers character. However, right now I've started on Dee and trying to write a descent story for the game that incorporates the title.
I am not that much of a tecnician until i get myself into the game inputs, but i wanted to say something... and it is that i am proud of how far your game is going, i'll try to be more active, now that i am almost done with College and starting to work part time shifts.

Question for you. How come you've decided to stick with this difficult workaround method? Because you already put so much work in? Curious why you've yet to make the switch when most/if not all you are trying to achieve can be done easier with you know what
Yea, it's mainly because of the work I have put in to it and when I started this project (7 1/2 years ago). I've thought about converting it to IKEMEN several times. However, at this point it would be a lot of work. Not by any means out of the picture though. I'm releasing this project for people to try out this year (finished or not). If decide not to do it by myself, I may just get someone to help convert it (Anyone Interested). However, you do make a very valid point. Having to use workarounds limits what you can do.
@@thejacquio771 You should ask in the Ikemen server about the specifics of the Darkstalkers defeat system(if you haven’t already) and see what’s required to do it at the very least. You put a lot of time in sure, but this complex way makes you lose out on soooo much more. Even the story mode you wanted is easier for you to do. If you do decide to continue, hope you’ll give it a shot

I stumbled across old videos of this project until I hit your YT channel. And I'm glad to know that you're still working on the game. The Darkstalkers series definitely needs a new installment and a Fan Game might be just the thing. Best of luck.
