that “closing the eyes” moment is really our best coping mechanism on stage for silly but inevitable stuff like dat… i really love ur content! very relatable!! i know how much u want to lash out tho🤣
Is there any way you can block me from getting your content....I have pushed the " not interested" button many times... please for the love of Pete...go away
It’s actually pretty simple, you just don’t interact with it 😂 however it seems like you’re enjoying it enough to keep commenting so appreciate you being here 🙃 I tried looking for your content however it was nonexistent, I wonder why that is 🤓
@@chrisgarciadrums ohh ya..I can't get enough of the crash and bang..but I think it needs more cow Bell and definitely more crash cymbals ....I heard a couple of beats that didn't have a crash cymbal crash ...try harder do better ... remember your drumming for Jesus and Jesus likes a lot of crash cymbal a cow Bell
@JojoCano-ix9cu I don’t think I played a cowbell in this video but since I’m playing with excellence Jesus would appreciate that. The crashes sound good so why not play them! 😁 glad you’re here! Where can I see your videos? 🙃
@@chrisgarciadrums trying to eek out a living doing drum shorts on RU-vid ain't for me .. but I hope it works out for you!! ...haha and to think I always thought gods drummer would be someone like Steve Glad or Buddy Rich, Billy Cobham or some one better... hahaha 😂🤣 sorry if my opinion hurt your feelings..I'd love to talk cow bells and crash cymbals all day !!😎 but I got other shit to do , besides, it's a beautiful day on Tahoe today and the fish are biting .. adios ..try not to be so tender opinions are like assholes everyone has one !!
@JojoCano-ix9cu I don’t make a living off of shorts haha but I do make a living off being a musician. But thats also an excuse to not showcase your skillset, but what do I know 🤓 Not sure who Steve glad is but Steve Gadd was definitely an inspiration. It’s cute to think you hurt my feelings because I don’t let people in the cheap seats dictate my emotions (Brene brown quote 🙃). We can chat drums all you’d like! Enjoy the fishing jojocano-ix9cu 😂
@@chrisgarciadrumsnormally you do a bang up job !! but on this particular tune I feel like your a little bit🤏 weak. I think it needs more crash cymbals.!!!.🤗.more build and fill.🤣. maybe try bigger sticks or maybe flip them over and use the big end..I feel like this performance is not your best.. it lacks creativity..you need to cut loose and throw in a single stroke roll from time to time ..😂
@JojoCano-ix9cu thank you! I appreciate the input!! I’m not a fan of flipping over the stick but if that’s your thing that’s cool. I hear you on the creativity however this was a live recording and I was paid to do my job which was to play this groove not to be “creative”. I’ll send you the link to the song! I’m also on tour with this worship leader so I’d say those single stroke notes were perfectly placed 🙃.
It's like your building up to a crescendo that never comes.( In every short ). It's definitely the same thing over and over...I'm not sure you understand the difference between a ride cymbal and a crash 🤣 try a lighter touch in the beginning of the song and build to the end..try not to crash and trash as much ... remember less is more.... more bottom more power more better..maybe take more of a blue's approach to it ? Clean and tighten up a little ..
Thank you for the input! A short is clearly 15-30 seconds long and not the entire song 😂 also I’m not playing blues, if I was I’d give it a blues touch. Again it isn’t every short but I respect your opinion 🙃.
@@chrisgarciadrums again I stick by my original comment....no touch and feel !! Just crash and bang...same thing over and over and over again... sounds and looks very boring...I'd poke myself in the eye if I had to listen to much more than about 30 seconds of the contemporary garbage for god...I watch a lot of different drum shorts yours is by far one of the More boring musicly speaking...hahah as the coronal used to say.. you've been yanking that same old dandy all night !!!
I had a FOH mixer destroy my ears for a few days…he was pushing my IEM mixbus not the drums comp/verb fx bus in the mains. It happens, especially when working with volunteers. We laugh about it now. Was a good learning moment for them.
u took it well and kept the time… God forbid, but if it ever happen to me, i wud just pack up my sticks and cymbals and start worshipping with the congregation instead😂
I definitely experienced this! My stick in the right hand pulled out the earphones while playing a fill😂But listening to this vid now without any crowd mics or the PA is double scary.
Only had it happen once and it felt like an eternity. Could you have taken an ear out to hear the house at least? In my experience, the drums are so loud with the shield that I can’t hear the house.
It was forever! I feel your pain Yes I could’ve taken an ear out but I tried to just focus on the Pianos hands when I wasn’t checking my pack. If I was in a cage I wouldn’t take out an ear
I’m all for the “it’s literally the drummer’s job” debate, but from the production side of things it’s just so much more practical to have one. If you don’t need a click to keep time, excellent! But, you’re still probably going to have trouble syncing up with any backing tracks or fellow musicians who are more than 5 feet away from you on a big stage. Playing to clicks is a skill in and of itself, and I think it just makes the experience that much better for the audience. Always a time and place for with and without!
This is the wisest comment that I’ve had in quite some time! Thank you. People just don’t know how to look beyond their own bubble to realize there is more going on than just our boom pop. Yes be good with & without a click however most gigs require click because of exactly what you said! Thank you!
