tbh Dawg the real way to get better at mixing is to PRACTICE AND DO IT A LOT you CANT just get PRESETS and think you can get amazing vocals that is NOT the way it works.. (Advice for anyone that just started mixing or being a artist.)
New subscriber, long time watcher. Ay, give us a video about recording R&B and Hip Hop vocals with dynamic mics. Maybe a shoot out between like the sm 57/58, SM7B, RE20.. I use UAD, would love to see how we could use a sm 57 for good mixable vocals while printing effects like autotune and compression on the way in. That would be clutch, idea only cost that eyeball though...lol nah, but seriously...your content is dope bro. I'm locked in.

I definitely had to learn this the hard way. I spent many hours watching videos on RU-vid and nothing was getting better I had to learn that less is better when it comes to plugins and a clean non clipping vocal is super important when it comes to mixing. I owe a lot of what I know now to you and Atrocity 1k, HMD and Wavy Wayne for changing my thought process when it comes to mixing. Keep Dropping Jewels .... We need em !

My mixes got infinitely better the moment i realized I was overcooking the sh*t out of them with too many plugins. Once I created my own vocal chain starting with autotune, EQ, compression, then effects + deEsser is when I created the crispiest vocals chain ive ever used personally catered to my own VOICE. Dropping big gems in this one but they wont understand it till they get fed up with not being able to properly manipulate their sound to be exactly how they want by using the foundation. fundamentals!!!
