I really wish this video got more exposure, I think all the points you raise and spot on and really constructive. I always felt there was something missing in Infinites open world and you've pin pointed it. 🙌 Subbed!
Wow, amazing video. I've put around 50 hours in Night City wondering how a team could put together a space so dense, detailed and interesting, and you've been able to give me so much perspective on the different styles and how they merge. You just earned a new sub! Hope you keep growing
Just the kind of video I wanted to watch today - and I'm glad it exists :) Thank you for this in-depth analysis, it's amazing how much the devs have put into their research. I like what you said about the light being a marker of wealth. The Duke's mansion is absolutely drowning in light. And considering the Isles are always struggling to find energy to power the cities, the divide is even more prominent.
Going to come out and say that all Brutalist architects have never met or seen a human and know nothing about how we work as a species, imagine being stuck renting in a brutalist building since it's the cheapest thing in Marseille that still stands since it's protected due to being "first" at being trash housing.
Great Video, one small question, are you german or someone who speaks a germanic language natively (other than english) I think you have a slight accent that can be often heard by Germans and Dutch people when they speak english
Los Angeles really does have a lot of brutalist architecture, especially in its government buildings such as LACounty hospitals, courts, clinics, even libraries. I can remember these giant concrete structures towering over me and feeling some sense of importance emanating from them as I looked up at them from a child's point of view
For a long time i thought capturing the atmosphere of older horror games like silent hill would be hard to do with modern graphics , especially since many studios tried to do it with subpar results . but alan wake not only succeeded but excels in this aspect
Hello hello! Know what I don't do enough? Upload videos. Know what I've done about it? Stopped scripting and started just going off the cuff. That may have lead to a video that's a bit more rambly than usual but it'll hopefully help me upload more frequently. Personally, I believe there's a path forward with this approach but as of right now, plenty of room for improvement. Especially with regards to presenting my thoughts in a more structured and complete manner. I'm specifically unhappy with how I presented my thoughts on the lack of modern items using LED lights and the phone box as examples. These thoughts were, at best, presented in an incomplete manner. Also, at 03:18 I state that the Finnish parts of speech aren't subtitled. This is wrong. What I meant to say was that they aren't translated to English. So yeah - Room for improvement. Will see if I can refine this approach and get it to a point I'm happy with going forward. Did you notice I wasn't following a script and did it have any effect on the quality of the video in your view? Would love to hear your thoughts - Not just on the video but also on Alan Wake II.
Hello there. Got two things to say: 1. The orange lights at 1:02 are probably just textures that are changing. But the yellow round lights on the sign are 2D sprites 2. I would love to hear what you think of the video. Let me know what you liked and what you disliked. It’s a huge help for me as it gives me an indication on what I can do better going forward. And if you did happen to like the video then consider hitting the subscribe button. Getting real close to 500 subs which is neat. Thank you!
Keep up the good work! Despite this being the only video on your channel that I've watched so far, the quality of the editing, with the long pans across the in-game locales, really sets a relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable atmosphere. Hope you can reach a greater audience and break that 500 subscriber milestone!
I really liked the video, but what I think you could do to improve your video in my opinion would be: Your webcam is too close to your face, which make it a bit distracting. It would also be nice to also see more third person shot instead of just drone view, maybe also adding some color filters for transition between scenes maybe. You could also do third person shot that have been speed up where the character roam around the map (these feel relaxing most of the time). And also more pauses instead of always speaking, just to appreciate the music and video in addition to the clean editing. So have a nice day and I hope this comment can help you improve your videos. :)
Thank you so much for taking the time to provide constructive feedback! Can be difficult to gauge what I'm doing well and what needs improvement so it's super helpful :)
This feels like a high budget documentary on a tragedy. Good background sound choice, amazing montage and great background video. I hope this video will get more views asap.
Super happy you like the sound and video choices! Put a lot of energy into those aspects in this video and I'm definitely planning on improving upon these aspects even more in future videos.
Outstanding photography man, they could hire you for a trailer. My appreciation for the Dead Space franchise grew stronger thanks to this video, there's so many details one glosses over when they are fighting for their life.
Death Stranding is one of my favorite games, and I know it looks incredible, but I never quite considered just how much variety in rocks they need to make it feel as natural as it does. Thanks for the great video as always! The last song is from the games soundtrack, right? What’s the song called?
Thank you for covering this game's architecture ! I think it is still the most impressive city in any video game. The video was very well put together, I wish it was longer haha. I can't wait to watch more videos from you. You deserve WAY MORE subscribers !
There is a good chanve this choise is also influenced by the fact that the developers are East European and this reflects the architecture they see every day
Origins' world always fascinated me because of its vast empty spaces. The desert to the south, the black mountains, the plains of Cyrenaica... they really nailed the atmosphere for a lot of these places. It's a stark contrast to Odyssey, where a lot of regions looked very same-y.
Hello there! Thanks for stopping by 🥳 Let me know what you thought about the video and if there's anything you think I can improve on or if there is a game/topic you'd like me to make a video on. If you want a more detailed video about the rocks of Death Stranding, then have a look at this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K4IcUAwy9MQ.html NOTE: I had previously scheduled another version of this video for premiere, but I replaced it with this version as I was a bit unhappy with the quality of that first version
you're reaching and using hyperbole, pandering to sensationalism in your narrative you pretty much invented and in no way directly represented in anything.. get over yourself. It represents art and style/design of the time, especially in marketing...but the game is not trying to make a great point of clearly educate on on anything regarding marketing. Just like classic Rockstar games since GTA3 and before of course there is dark humor and parody and satire, especially in the media, but get over yourself this is a stretch as being important in game
Not to be too critical but your voice sounds like your talking quietly as if not to disturb someone in the next room. It's super annoying. Also get a pop filter and use less EQ on the low end. Everybody's voice sounds better with more bass EQ until it doesn't. And everybody goes too far with that when they start off. I honestly can barely stand to listen to your voice as it is in this video. But it doesn't have to be this way though, see what you can do to fix these issues.
Hi Chris. Thank you very much for the feedback. I'll make the necessary changes if I see comments expressing similar concerns. It's great to know what I can improve upon so I really do appreciate you taking the time to point out what doesn't work well for you.
