goose bumps hearing this sung as an anthem, I'm in my sixties now, grateful for having survived the malaise of my generation, and my thoughts are with those that didn't "You shut your mouth, how can you say I go about things the wrong way? I am human and I need to be loved Just like everybody else does"
Thank you for sharing this, it means a lot. I was 4 miles away when this took place looking after my dying Mum and had tried to get tickets for the 7th…..James have always been a favourite and this song sums me up to a tee.
I love Fender Jaguars and I own one and had owned several before my current one but for The Smiths songs I just don't hear it being the right guitar sound. Wish he would go back to Strats, Teles and Rics with then occasional Gretsch and Gibson.
What an entrance. You can't fake it; they took the stage, and they're the best live band there is, - at any juncture in their career.Life ,- and death, - has kept Homme on his toes, and he has not grown complacent, and doesn't take anything for granted. An optimal line up ,with the rhythm section and Dean in support.
I would of been stood to your left ..I only normally video the first song of a gig but I also recorded this....done the same at piece hall in June....best rock band around and this night they were as usual brilliant....I'm still buzzing 2 weeks later 👍
You're 100% right. I also think as artists age they hide themselves and become reclusive because they feel they were only good when they were young and first famous, they feel they have to live up to something they can't be like anymore. But the truth audience doesn't care about this
This is a fantastic upload, mate! Crystal clear THANKS!! Amazing gig...about my dozenth queens, but my first time at the peace hall...what a cracking venue!
Cheers for watching, pal, I appreciate the comments! Yeah, I’ve seen Queens a few times over the years, but this was a great venue. I’ve been to a lot of gigs in and around the Manchester area, but never over to Halifax. Such a great venue for live music!
Thanks for this! I recorded almost the entire song too, I was first row on Mikey's side 😈 I never thought they will play LSG. It made me cry lol I've lost 5 family members starting 2018 and the last one on March 2023 so this was soooo special for me :'( this was a long slow goodbye for the last 5 years I've lived 🖤 So much drama lol but I travelled from Mexico to Manchester and London to see them (: thanks again for the cut!
You’re very welcome, and so sorry to hear about those you’ve lost in your family - my condolences 🖤💔 They only played LSG once on the entire European tour, and that was in Manchester, so I think we were very fortunate! 👹
I was there. Absolutely fucking brilliant gig. My first in 9 years. My first time seeing QOTSA live. And my daughters first gig. She is now a fan. She loved it. They were amazing. Thanks for the upload 🔥🤘🏻🐍❤️
OMG what a night! Absolutely amazing I’m still reminiscing about the whole night and the only problem is it went far too fast 😢 thanks for the vid 😊Thankyou The Queens 🤘👹🎸🎶🥰
I agree - I bought a ticket for Manchester right after I’d been to the Halifax show in the summer. I’ve been looking forward to this since June - and now it’s been and gone! Damn! But what a night it was. Like Josh says, ‘it isn’t goodbye but goodnight’ - long live the Queens! 👹🖤❤️🔥
