I just got back into Destiny last year, I started during forsaken, stoped during Shadowkeep, and finally starting back up late last year, and Im hooked again. And yeah, Onslaught is the best game mode in the history of game modes dare I say.
I recently got into destiny. put 45 hours in. I feel like I have experienced majority of what the game has to offer and don't see a reason to continue to play. The solo content is weak AF and you can only do raids, dungeons and crucible so much till the game just feels stale. Also prob didnt help that within the first hour of playing the game gave me max end game armor and weapons.
All I know is that I have played this game since December 25th 2014 and this story better wrap up as a true banger. I went through the boring parts and awesome parts just to follow along with the story. So hopefully the people running the show KNOW what they're doing and make a proper ending and not some cheesecake BS.

I hope its good. First dlc im waiting for a week or 2 before buying. Gonna play without dlc, see if they have changed enough of the core experience first, and see what everyone else is saying once they have beat most stuff.

TBH Light Fall trailer looked sweet, and look what was delivered... Lesson learned, never trust bungie. Wait for a month after release, see some honest reviews and gameplay. Decide with your wallet. There are a lot of banger indie games right now. Indie devs try new things, unlike bungie devs and management. TFS looks like a prismatic colored turd, but hopefully im wrong.

Rise of Iron was actually pretty solid. Good campaign, visually appealing and great new patrol zone with the snow covered Cosmodrome, introduced what would eventually become artifacts, solid raid with new secrets to find, and it led us into Age of Triumph, which is arguably still the most "peak Destiny" time period outside of Forsaken. Plus the soundtrack was an absolute banger.
Bungie are crooks... I bought the basic DLC and seen that it didnt come with the pay to win exotic gun. So I purchased the 100$ DLC and instead of them crediting me for the 60 I already spent like theyve done previously. I was double charged. They scam their player base in anyway they can.
So like I understand compared to taken king, rise of iron did seem to lack in many ways. Yes the story was short but the story (though short) was pretty good (in my opinion). Taken king beautiful, rise of iron for me like was the taken kings little brother that just wanted to be like it. We got good exotics, good lore, a new location, social space. Ornaments, shaders, a banger of a raid & siva as an idea and theme (in my opinion) left a lasting impression. Considering it is still talked about even now, with revamped outbreak.
