This happened to me recently at hpcl in dombivli, saw it and i knew they were trying to scam me, i also told them that i am a registered contractor for iocl and build / maintain fuel station for a living. I didn't fight with them i just asked for a proof of filling the 500 rs petrol or i just told them to call the HPCL SALES OFFICER who works there ( the number is written on the glass door of the office usually) they told me dont pay 500 and go i was in a hurry since i had to drive 600kms or i would have called the sales OFFICER And there would have been sever consequences for the pump owner Whenever some thing like this happens try to contact the sales officer they have the authority to shutdown the whole fuel pump if it is a recurring incident ( trust me i have seen it in iocl)

I understand that it was informative and helpful for others but i think face should be blurred so that he can atleast get job somewhere else. I understand they were wrong but thier kids don't deserve to be raised in poverty forever because of that.

Brits aussies ride in tuktuks and also on low powered scooters just to prove a point. They can do it long distance and extreme landscapes. And its cheap too. Dont let your riding spirit depend on things. Do it if you have the chance. Ride an average bike where you want to. After 2 yrs you get a decent bike and do the same thing. You will miss the experience and forget waiting for the bike. Just do it safely.
