downthecrop2 is the second downthecrop channel. My Twitch streams will be archived here but I also use this channel to post content that I don't think it suitable for my technical channel (downthecrop)
Is there a way to change the ip it connects to? Im trying to get my brother to log into my offline world but config.json gets reset with each launch and ends up connecting to the live 2009scape. I cant figure out how to direct it at a local ip. Any help appreciated!
Can I ask a question? What version of android is this being built for? I tried to install the APK on Android 12 and it crashes because of no storage permissions. I installed the APK on a chomebook, and it starts up nicely then crashes.
I think the reason it crashed on android 12, from the message when I load pojavLauncher: Due to Google's new scoped storage enforcements added in Android 10 and higher, we are required to move the game directory into an app-private folder. (Android/data/net.kdt.pojaclaunch/files) I assume 2009scape is just trying to store files in wrong directory for this version? thanks.
somethings are locked completely behind quests that aren't implemented yet and some things aren't. For example, Dragon scimitar is obtainable you just need the magic level to teleport to ape atoll in order to buy it. In the getting started guide on the website I mention that the gnome glider and the spirit trees currently function without any quests and yes fairy rings are locked behind lost city once fairy tale pt1 is coded it'll be locked behind that quest instead and then after fairy tale pt 2 then it'll be locked behind that. Reading on the website from news post to just some of the manual guides can help clear some QoL things up.
If you do plan on contributing quests Ceikry would be very grateful since it exhausts him properly adding quests. Also pest control is 100% functional in singleplayer due the bots. The bots were in development for around 200 hours so they are very well made. On the website I have a list of ingame commands if you'd like to refer to those. The adventure bots also sell to the ge but during holidays like Christmas they sing and count down to Christmas believe starting from EST December 1st. Anyways another great video :) not a huge fan of the other game but I know a lot of people love it. It's just nice to see someone else taking a look through a video perspective of 2009scape.
Alex isn't a developer of 2009scape but he's an amazing contributor that comes along every couple of months to update the singleplayer since it's not officially supported by the lead developer. Good stream though :)
