The Knife Junkie channel is all about knives and knife collecting. I love knives and will share videos here on The Knife Junkie RU-vid channel offering knife close-up videos and unboxing videos, in addition to twice-weekly "The Knife Junkie" Podcast," Thursday Night Knives and an occasional "The Deep Cut" where we go deep with a maker or manufacturer about a single topic.
Please leave a comment or question and let me know what's going on or if there is a specific knife you'd like me to take a look at.
Also, be sure to visit my website, theknifejunkie.com to listen or watch the latest episode of "The Knife Junkie Podcast" or "Thursday Night Knives." You'll also find The Knife Junkie on Instagram, Twitter and in The Knife Junkie Facebook Group.
I have one of his knifes and I could not be more pleased with it. It’s a fixed blade with an overall length around 7 1/2 inch’s. He calls it Agent Skinner. Most comfortable blade I’ve ever held. The craftsmanship is amazing and top tier quality.
You have the upgraded lock, which you can tell from the smooth stop pin. It won’t fail the spine whack. The ridged stop pins were from the old lock geometry.
Anybody else think super steels are over hyped? I have brough 150 or so knives to work and use them hard for all kinds of stuff and i cant tell any difference between a well done d2 blade or an m390 blade. Am i crazy?
Your are not wrong. Interestingly enough, Jarrod loves cpm D2 and 440C. All of our designs are fully customizable in terms of your steel preferences, handle materials, and sheath orientation
Not at all Man, D2 is a fine steel in my opinion! I also have plenty of amazing knives in simple steels. I still use A2, D2, and 1095 from time to time.
Aluminum is not cheap - and well anodized aluminum like Microtechs is about a million times better than G10, Micarta and the plastic that spyderco and Benchmade use. Titanium is better but in case you weren’t aware guns like the Sig P226, many 1911’s and all AR-15’s use aluminum receivers - if it can last in an AR, it’s a thousand times more than you will ever need on a knife. You are completely incorrect.
Gerber is pretty hit or miss in my experience. I really liked the LST. (Its an old design from the early 1980s, but a 420hc lock-back with a 2.6" blade and frn handle all in a package that weighs less than 1.4 ounces... yes please.) The Paraframe mini is pretty bad. So is the SB 2.5, though it's much more usable than the Paraframe Mini. Their copy of the CRKT M16, the Gerber Evo is just bad. However I've heard good things about the Sharbelly from people who have it. And I've heard a lot of people saying good things about the Zilch, enough that I picked one up and put it in the box of knives that will become birthday/Christmas/etc... presents. Now I just need to "get it" as a present for a birthday/Christmas/etc... So here's hoping that this is one of Gerber's solid EDC performers.
I want to talk about the knifetubers that suck with 100k subs and how they are likely buying subs, views and likes using bot farmers. We all know who they are, You the best Bob. Lots of hack jobber fake knife channels out there. Stay true Junkie
