I know I'm getting here late, but wanted to check it out. I've been a Ernie Ball Prodigy 2mm guy since they came out. A buddy recently turned me on to these Flows from Dunlop, and I gotta say they've been working well. I prefer the 2mm "Gloss" version, but they're kind of tough to find in my city. Online seems about the only way to get 'em.
Saw your post in one of the Facebook groups and had to see your take on it. Regardless of the technical difficulties the display of operation and tweaking speaks volumes in what it can do. I use both a Klon circuit and maxon od808 as well and find around the same settings you use…volume only around 1 or 2 o clock area with no gain and tone to taste but I aim for noon there. Klon I go differently with a transparent like setting with a little bit of gain for clipping. I run a el34 5150 50 watt stock and can get deftones with the Klon all day. I think the blend knob would get me what I really want from a tube screamer on a 5150, those amps are very tight so allowing the low end but getting the pedals cut and focus is key, this thing should do the trick for me. Thanks for the video and I’m keeping an eye out for your content man cheers!
Hello, I'm wondering if the Toisin set is as good for flat out brutal stuff as the moderns? I've heard they're lower output. Is the output substantially lower in practise? I've chosen the Abasi set for an Aristides I have being made and hope I haven't made the wrong choice. I'm basically a caveman riff / black metal guy that wants everything at 10 all of the time. Just hoping the Toisin's end up not being a mistake. I guess it's not the end of the world either way, can change em out if needed.
@@FiendlingBM they aren't lower output at all. I love the tosins way more than moderns. Actually find the tosins have more output. I loved them when I had them in my 070. I think you made the right choice.
I am sorry about the random interference that happens through the video. It never came through my speakers when recording and I only heard it after the fact. 1st time that has happened to me when recording on this set up.
@@francoivancuffini7943 it really depends on amp. I usually have boost at around 10 o clock ish and the same with the tilt eq. EQ can be adjusted to Taste
@@fkfakemusic3172 Keep the Prestige. Neck is the bad part of that guitar. I could never get the fretbuzz to go away if the action was low. Neck was the rushed part of the guitar and it showed.
i got all the materials, but I cant tell what kind of wire clips i would need. do you have a picture or link? Als what kind of solder material do you use?
@@sam3711 no need to solder. Just crimp the wire on to it. I think it uses the medium clips. It isn't the really big ones. As for the awg of wire I had left over wire from installing a deck on a car that I used. 16 awg should be plenty of your run is under 20ft.
Just throw a lo-pro edge 7 into the mij rg7420. Drops right in on the original posts and the strings are where they should be on the fretboard. Check that posts arent loose! Drilling out for the lo-pro locking posts is also an option. There are no locking posts on the rg1527 edge pro 7 either, but they can of course be modded/swapped.
Vc precisa estudar muuuuito mais pra chegar aos pes dele! Tocou bend afinado, várias rítmicas deu pra entender... e o som várias veses tá querendo definir, vc está no caminho, mas ainda longe
I just popped mine in last night in my LTD Arrow 1000. There is a good difference. It's subtle in the grand scheme but the changes in feel and frequency is definitely worth it. I feel like it's now more comparable to my Fluences. As people have said, it opens up the EMGs.
always good to take a step back and re-evaluate , i've only been taking YT a bit more seriously since December last year, that pressure of trying to put out consistent videos (say every week) to varying degrees of success/views can take it's toll, especially when you're spending time trying to put something of quality together to try and inform/help people out i've got a full time job in music, so YT is a side thing i've been doing, ultimately for fun/learn new skills and to share information out there, that keeps the focus of why i'm doing it chase the reason why you want to do a video in the first place and have fun with it, there's a reason why people tune in to what you're doing
Congrats on the new job. It's okay to take a break and rethink how to tackle the next objective. You're a great guy and I value your company whenever I get to see you in person.
I enjoy your reviews. Eddie Martinez used the RAT on Robert Palmer's Addicted to Love. Still trying to dial that one in perfectly, but they did all kinds of whacky gymnastics with the microphones which makes it hard. Is it relevant? Certainly it is to those of us in cover bands trying to dial in tones of the original artists.
Our Klipsch pro media 2.1 system lost its mains and only the sub worked. Then shortly after, the sub went out as well. Headphones still worked. It turned out is was a capacitor. It's probably the same for everyone else, too. Search around and you'll find the solution. It's a 25uf 50V capacitor. Swap it out and you'll be back in business for under 2 bucks and a bit of soldering work.
14:07 this is actually a really great tone. A little bright and would have to be tamed a little in a mix, but ultimately this is one of the better sounds I've heard from the Triaxis models in the Fractal units.
The title of this should be Worst Guitar Pedal Reviewer Ever. This pedal is amazing and can adapt to various amps with a bit of tweaking. I agree with the other comment. Maybe someone who knows how metal sounds should review heavy metal guitar equipment, not this guy.
