* Well, not exactly all of them end up as masterpieces...
Good stuff! That liquid medium seal for the masking tape is a brilliant idea. Some other teachers recommend removing the mask before the paint has dried. Do you do that?
It’s so funny that you decided to do the ellipse shape because when I watched your video last week, I thought that I’ll do an ellipse because it would be different than a triangle. I couldn’t figure out how to do it because I am so new to Inkscape that I couldn’t figure it out but now I know. thank you
I often find that using computer art tools for creation takes a different set of skills from more traditional art tools. That said, like anything I try, practice makes perfect!
One problem I've run into is when you mask off portions of a painting like this, you have a raised portion of the paint that sticks out, and sometimes it looks very obvious -- how to handle that? I think you pretty much have to live with it, or make sure the paint next to it is just as thick.
Thank you. Hope you will show us how you used all of those background to make a beautiful foreground on. Actually I am so curious to see how this can be done to create a foreground on as the background already seemed so dark and like the main focal point.
What a beautiful work ! I have lots of watercolor pieces I started and put them eside because I don't like them to much ....but now I can juse them to make all those little squares 😅😅😅 I'm realy going for it !!! Thank you a 1000 for sharing your idea with us ❤🎉❤🙏😉
Absolutely! And I love to do array or grid projects. Inchies work here. I have a project I'm planning a project that uses old postage stamps to create a more colorful whole!
Yeah, bleed through is always a risk. I try to always paint away from the tape to minimize the possibility of bleeding. Its fun to collect 'arty' shirts and I'm grateful I get to wear them in the videos!
Hi Spider, I did this fabulous and fun treasure today. I tried to email my rendition to you, but it came back, Are you still accepting emails? thanks again for the lesson. I'm now following you on Instagram too!
Great cleaning results .....plus I love your sense of humour Spider ❤ 😃 ....as a new subscriber Iam still binge watching and fascinated by your talent.....I hope you get millions of subscribers because the beautiful artworks you've kindly made on your other videos are very inspiring to me as a self taught artist.....Iam sure potential viewers would love your channel if they only knew it was out there!!!!!!! Great video. I use clear plastic packaging for my palette - clear ziplock type stuff - usually for an entire project. At some point, that gets set aside and a new palette comes in. When the first palette dries, I peel pieces off of it to use in a variety of pieces. An amazing pattern of colors and swirls, as well of texture. I just keep them together in a box. When one gets all of the paint peeled off, it is ready to be a palette again!
Brilliant idea! I would suggest making sure that the different paint pieces don't touch when being stored. I find that they will stick together over time.
Another inspiring project! I don't know if you saw my comment on your last post but I made my version of your tiny square papers to make a whole picture. I mention you on my vlog and give a link to your channel if you want to take a look! 😊
@@mixedmediamasters I couldn't figure out how to send the video to your website. If you click on my name above it will take you to my channel and it is the last video I did if you want to take a look and see how it turned out. 😄
Love this idea! I want to make a whole painting, maybe sort of abstract landscape and then tear it up and reposition it on the background. I think that would be really cool. I’m gonna try a small one to start with. Love finding new ideas as I get extremely bored with traditional stuff. Thank you!
So beautiful and inspiring mini works of art with a wonderful end result....your explanation and presentation is first class😊 I now intend to binge watch your channel for more creative ideas.....I have liked and subscribed to show support for your channel.....hugs from Scotland 🤗
