Apr 6, 1971 date made.. I will try to restore mine, it is dated March 25, 1960. steel was more pure from those years than actual hatchets, they sound different (finest) when you hit them with a coin congratulations for your job !!

While I really don't have the patience nor the equipment to put it together...BUT shut up and take my money......might take this to a weld shop see if any1 can do it...if any from Toronto area dm....cuz a dismantler is big....expensive...drains lots of pwr....
Can you go into a little detail on how you fixed that wobble? All I saw was you pull off the existing rubber strips and glue them back down. Did you order separate strips of a different thickness or what?
Did you first stain a coat with the brush into the gaps and edges and then stained the hole thing over or is it diluted paint what you've brushed on first? 🤔 Awesome how it came out, i love that different kind of use look you've reached on that one in comparison to most others i saw on ytube.. To another time i will definitely build a chest like yours👏🏻😎💪🏻
