African Lion is a much larger & a more beautiful beast ! Whether it would be able to survive in Konu forest is a big question ! But there are NO OTHER ASIATIC lions left I believe , other than in Sasan Gir forest ! So we are stuck with same genetic pool being introduced in Konu N P.

if you ever think of any more reintroductions consider meetings with fd maharashtra, theres emense boom in population numbers in coastal private owned lands, way far off from protected areas, this population if possible can be used for reintroduction can be a win win situation for the place where these will be reintroduced and for the farmers here who are facing relentless losses to crop and farm infrastructure !
