I’m from the UK and fed up of what is available over here. If I was to buy these from you could you deliver to the UK and also help set them up with me? Thanks

I just purchased the C10s a few days ago :( That explains the $200 discount and $799 price point. As I plan to use these as secondary to my Phonak Paradise RIC HAs when I want a break from the receiver wire under the glasses or for outdoors in the sun, I'm ok with the battery. But the improved sound quality is enticing. Now I'm on the fence on paying the $200 to upgrade. In your subjective opinion, if one is in the 45 day return window, is the sound quality improvement enough to seriously consider switching for the new model? Going to live with these for quite awhile so now would be the time to switch.

@HearSoundly 7 часов назад
I think it might be worth it. We notice a difference and as you say, you will likely have these for a long time. It’s not radical but there are definite improvements in noise. Not sure where you bought but maybe they will meet you in the middle on price for the upgrade. We have a promo code for C20 that I can send you if you text us. 213 460 1310. Both are good products but C20 is definitely a step up that we are excited about.

Thank you for the review. I’m wondering if it is worth upgrading from the C10 based on sound quality improvements alone? Better performance in noisy environments would be great but my guess is it’s an incremental improvements not a game changer.

It would be very good if hearing aid manufacturing companies start making hearing aids that have a second microphone on the charging case to amplify the sound. Something similar to Apple's AirPods and the phone's microphone

@HearSoundly
@HearSoundly 16 часов назад
They will do some amplification out of the box but you will almost certainly want to use the app to customize the hearing aids to your specific hearing loss.

nice review. how would you say it compares to the sennheiser all day clear, in terms of understanding speech with background noise?
@HearSoundly
@HearSoundly 18 часов назад
They are close! The in-ear style lets in a little bit less outside sound which some people perceive as less natural. By contrast Sennheiser has a smaller piece in the ear so you get some outside world sound along with amplified sound. C20 and Sennheiser are our top OTC choices in their respective styles so it might come down to which style you prefer. Feel free to text us if you want to have a more in-depth discussion! Yes they are IP68 rated which means they can withstand 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. We don’t suggest swimming in them but you can get them wet without issue.

if you purchased the Jabra heating aids online and found later that you needed ear molds, how would that process work? Whereas, at Costco you have a hands-on specialist that would take care of this.

I tried Costco twice over a 12 year period. The results were the same as going to an audiologist. Hearing went from D- to a C-. Better but useless in noisy background, soft spoken voices (wife) , forget about it, they have all been the same. One audiologist tech told me that I’ve been deaf for so long, about 40 of my 76 years that the brain reallocates sound processing when it can’t hear anything anymore and the tech indicated you don’t get back the lost capability. In aging tests it shows up as cognitive losses, yeah, I can’t flippin hear the instructions so I’m old enough and somewhat creative I fill in the blanks or shut up. Summary: for most types of hearing loss Costco can handle the task. Start with a doctor recommended audiologist. After one has determined that that your losses can be reduced then you can go shopping at Costco. Take your audio gram . They still will rerun the tests but when you get Costco’s results compare to the doctor’s. They should look very similar. If not, go to another store. Wish I had better news about my experiences with current technology hearing aids. I’m 76, I had many ear infections as a very young child that required my ear drums to be lanced. I was only 4 when I had the last one, in the docs office, with chloroform, not fun for a 4 year old. I was a big kid and they asked me to count backwards from 100. Excuse me, I haven’t been to kindergarten yet! My mom said, “Just keep giving it, he won’t last much longer”, sounded ominous.

Sound adjustment using only two frequencies is not very helpful when we have very specific data where our losses occur. Some final “tweaks” , this being a human experience, maybe advantageous for tech savvy people. My background is engineering but I’m old school and some of the new technology is frivolous at best. A menu driven system should be fine for over half the users and for the remainder, they will have the grand children dial in the final solution. “Grandma? What’s louder? Sound A or Sound B, grandma: definitely sound C”. Can be a real eye opening experience for the both of them. I have had 4 or 5 pair of doctor or technologist prescribed hearing aids. My hearing goes from a solid D- to C-, so I’m still missing a lot. Honest, my wife threatens to leave me occasionally because I can’t understand her voice. Might be cheaper than another pair of aids especially if it’s a cochlear device and you have a usb port on the back of your head. Good look for Frankenstein. A great source for another permanent infection induced in me by the medical community.

I tried this yesterday, but it didn't work. They told me things like "we don't have an appointment under that name," "you're supposed to have a card," "how did you even get in here," "who are you," "that door greeter had a wife and children," "the cops are coming" Anyways, total baloney.

It’s important to note, that while these hearing aids offer, a lot of desirable features, one still cannot stream from their phone to these hearing aids. I have a set of hearing aids from a different company that I find to be just OK, but I’m not willing to give up my Bluetooth streaming capabilities to switch. Hopefully, the industry will eventually offer something like these with a Bluetooth streaming capability. Technology moves quickly, fingers crossed that we can have the best of both worlds soon. I imagine that when the industry finally does crack that code, they will be wildly popular, and likely pretty costly. I imagine most users would pay that premium to have that capability in a product as hidden as these.

I have Rexton BiCores. They are great! However, they are battery, not rechargeable and I can't get the new child proof (also elderly proof!) packaging open without cutting my fingers on the sharp plastic. I'm within my 6 month return at Costco. I guess I need rechargeable, do I go with the BiCore or the Reach since I like the Bicore so much?

Good question! Your hearing pro could help you establish that more specifically but in theory this product should be able to get the job done in most cases. You may want to ask for an earmold to better capture and keep sound in your ear.

While there were comparisons in this review of Phillips to Jabra, there was no mention of Rexton's new "Reach," also sold by Costco: an oversight or intentional? I will need to rely on a hearing tech at Costco.

I've had good experiences with service at my local Costco hearing aid center. While I started with behind-the-ear units for 3 years, I'm currently wearing in-the-ear-canal hearing aids, and have not gotten used to the lower comfort level (including the sound quality of my own voice). I have an appointment next week to try behind-the-ear Rexton Reach hearing aids. I also think rechargeable batteries will be more convenient than the replaceable ones I've been using.
@HearSoundly
@HearSoundly 16 дней назад
I think this rationale sounds right. In ear can be nice in certain cases but often comes with less comfort and more occlusion. Rexton is a great one to try!
