That was really helpful, thank you! At 71 I’m into my first pair of hearing aids and after MUCH research, I decided to buy Jabra through the company. 100 day trial plus 3 years of service and warranty had me sold. Wish me luck! Really didn’t want hearing aids but realized it’s time. Great video! Like your style!!!

@5:19: “… these hearing aids have a brighter crisper sound quality than some of the other Hearing Aids…”. Beautiful. This explains why I “love” my Jabra Enhanced Pro 10. For instance, I have the Bose headphones and speakers, and I don’t care for the rounded, low mellow. It’s good for music, but I’m not into music that much. I want clarity in my speech both of myself and what I hear. I’m always complaining about mumbling even with my hearing aids. But, now I know people are mumbling lol. Thank you for your confirmation.

In my second month of Jabra Enhance Pro hearing aids trial period, purchased at Costco. As a long time user of Phonak I’m struggling with the sound quality of Jabra. It seems very harsh to me almost “tinny.” I’m grateful for longer trial period of 6 months as I’m still learning to use app for adjustments. Trying to be patient and give them a good trial, but really missing my Phonaks and the soft clarity… Will make an appointment with an audiologist if frustration continues to look at other options. Costco staff friendly but don’t have the in-depth knowledge of my former audiologist to individualize needs.

It might be worth trying Rexton (one of the other options at Costco). That sound tends to be softer and more round. I think you will find it closer to Phonak.

@@HearSoundly My first pair of hearing aides were from Rexton from Costco. One of them lost the battery power while I was travelling and by the time I got home I my hearing aides were no longer covered. Rexton would not replace the battery and I had to buy new ones. Right now I'm dealing with Jabra as my research showed that they might be the ones for my needs. I struggled to get them working for me, and I really appreciate the friendly and knowledgeable help that I've had from the costco people. I see them again tomorrow, and need a few more fixes but really liking them now.

Very nice review but I believe there are differences in the Jabra online versus Costco premium offerings. I called Jabra recently and asked about how the Pro 20 at Costco compares to the Select 300 online. I was told they are similar but different. I was told the Pro 20 at Costco is similar to the current GN Resound Nexia, while the online Select 300 is similar to the earlier version. I think more specifically the Jabra representative on the phone said the prior version was the Omnia. I believe the online version is slightly larger than the one at Costco. I live over an hour from Costco but chose to go there to obtain the most modern offering.

Good review, I didnt know that the Jabra had a tinnitus feature. I thought it was only activated for the Resound brand. I have an appointment tomorrow at my local Costco so this is very helpful. Question, how does the Jabra compare to tne Phillips Hear Link 40 and which domes do you generally recommend for mild to moderate loss? My main issue is hearing the higher frequency.

I’ve had the Jabra Enhance Pro 20 for two weeks now. I bought them from Costco. I really like them. These are my first hearing aids. I didn’t see the tinnitus menu on the software following your example and guide. Question: Am I missing something?

@@HearSoundly I saw that you had two tabs on the top of the screen when you went to Sound Enhancer. I have no tabs to choose from, just the three point-EQ and the Noise reduction and Wind noise reduction sliders on the bottom. I have tinnitus and would love to mask it. I see you were in "Demo Mode" on the video. Possibly this feature is part of Resound's similar hearing aids, but not on the Costco versions of Jabra's hearing aids? Thanks for your great video and speedy reply! UPDATE: I just went on to Jabra's app users guide. It says this as a footnote: "**Available if the Tinnitus Sound Generator has been enabled by your hearing care professional." So, it would seem that I will need to ask about it at Costco, though I think the hearing aid assistant told me that none of their hearing aids had a feature for tinnitus. I wonder if that is a Costco thing or not.
@HearSoundly

ok good catch. I might suggest calling Costco and asking if they can turn this on. Costco is the only place that sells Jabra Pro so I’m assuming they should be able to do it since it’s in their app. Keep me posted! I’m curious now

@@HearSoundly I had my check up at Costco. The hearing specialist was not aware of a tab that was being shown in your video, but was quick to show me a route turn on (I believe) the tinnitus feature. Here's where to go on the iPhone: Settings-->Accessibility-->Audio & Visual-->Background Sounds-->the turn the slider on, choose the volume and sound type (Balanced Noise, Bright Noise, Dark Noise, Ocean, Rain, Stream). The Audio & Visual selection was a surprise. Now, when I swipe from the top-right of the screen down towards the bottom left and then touch the earring icon, a new menu is added that lets one control the Background Sounds. Basically, as I understand it, the tinnitus feature simply adds some background sounds to mask the tinnitus and the user can choose which kinds of background sound helps that person the best. This is clearly not as easy to enable, but once one chooses to to turn on "Background Sounds" it serves its purpose. Hope this helps others. I really like my Jabra Enhance Pro 20's. Thank you for your video.

How do you increase our decrease the volume on the device rather than locating the phone, finding the app and looking for the volume setting. I think you can press the button on one to increase volume and the other to lower volume. Which is which? Thanks.

Left to Lower, and Right to Raise. Lol. I just thought that up. When you reach the end of adjustment, you’ll hear a tone. Hold down the Right button to change the Program: (1st) All-Around, (2nd) Front Focus, (3rd) Restaurant, etc. You’ll also hear (a) tone(s) telling you which program you’re on as you sequence through the Programs: 1, 2, 3, tones indicating 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. Hold, long press, the Left button to switch to the “STREAMERS” category (where I found my Multi-Mic.). This will switch directly to the Multi Mic. … very convenient Get the Multi Mic. It’s a game changer. Note: I wasn’t able to select the MultiMic by continually pressing the right button. It would reach the last program, “Music”, and return to “All-Around”. I played with the left button and discovered this.

@@wendychambers977. But one case has a battery for recharging. It’s something I’d like to have. Now that I know Costco carries it, I might purchase it from them. But online, Amazon, or Jabra direct is more convenient. A battery operated case is sometimes necessary to reboot your HAs when it’s necessary. Since we don’t have battery doors, we can open and close to restart the HAs.

I am trying to get my Costco recently purchased jabra Enhance Pro 20 hearing aides to work. i have hearing loss that's quite different in my ears as I have had Covid that effected the hearing in one ear. I'vve now been back to the audiologist at Costco 3 times in as many weeks. NOW! something new! Two days ago my left hearing aide lost power and signaled that the battery was dead after only 7 hours of wearing time. That's not good! Today, my Right hearing aide quit in the middle of a meeting warning me that the battery was dead. This was after 4 Hours of wearing time. I am thinking of just taking them back. Unfortunately last week I purchased a fitted dome for $50 for the Right ear that I am to pick up tomorrow. Im very discouraged, after trying one of the other brands that also didn't work and I eventrually had to return it and then ordered the Jabra brand. The video is very interesting. My experience hasn't been that good with the clear sounds but that could be because if the Covid side effects to one ear.

@@2Phast4Rocket I am pleased with the service that I'm getting from Costco with my Jabra hearing aides. I had a molded ear piece made for my right ear at a cost of $50 and that's really helping. Also, it turns out that the rapid hearing loss in my right ear is due to a pong lasting result of having Covid last year. This makes fitting difficult in that ear as my hearing will continue to change. The charger seems now to be working. It's important that you keep it closed all the time as even a speck of dust with interfere with the charging of the hearing aide. Now that I'm doing that, my hearing aides are keeping fully chanrged for the day. Also, I'm learnging to adjustment that you can make to have surrounding changes . I especially like pressing the button of the aide for 2 seconds, making directional changes to what you are hearing in crowds. This is a learning process for me, but I'm not determined to keep this ones. I did return another brand and had no trouble getting my money back althought you won't get cash. YOu will get a credit on your Costco Mastercard. If you are from Ontario, you will also not have trouble getting a discount from OHIP again IF YOU BUY YOUR HEARING AIDES FROM COSTCO. I tried using getting my OHIP discount from a private hearing aide firm and they refused.

Wow, you totally skip the most important features! What frequencies do they amplify, how many frequencies do they have, and how can you adjust each frequency to fit your hearing loss? These have a sound equalizer like any cheap earbuds have. This is exactly why I go to a Hearing Aid Professional to get these features so I can hear. Yes I pay more but to actually hear something and make it sound great is worth the price. If you just want a sound booster these aids are OK but no better than an old horn stuck in your ear. So, if you want to prove me wrong, and I hope you can so I can save money, show us how to adjust these sound boosters to fit my hearing needs? I want to save money but I also want to hear. I do not go to Walgreens to buy a set of reading glasses to fix my cataracts either even though it is $6,000 cheaper to do it because it does not solve the actual problem and I actually like to see clearly.
@jackmortimer329
@jackmortimer329 Месяц назад
If I understand your concerns about frequency adjustments, a part of being fitted with HA at Costco (or any HA office) is to adjust the frequency boosts to match your hearing prescription. The person fitting you will have many frequency band adjustments to give you the best hearing correction. The adjustments in the app, IMO, are there only to let you make crude adjustments in specific environments. Channels like Dr. Cliff and Hearing Club have videos which show this much better than my description. Hope this helps.
