RyanPavoneMedia is a freelance video production and photography company started by creative and entrepreneur Ryan Pavone.
Over the past 8 years I have used this platform to develop and produce professional quality marketing and promotional content for clients, as well as personal projects. It has allowed me to hone my skills as a videographer and photographer while learning how to successfully produce individualized video proposals, work with clients and execute creative concepts from idea to finished product.
My passion for action sports and adventure originally led me to filmmaking; a talent that has grown into a career that allows me to utilize my creativity and business skills. I studied cinematography at Marin School of the Arts in the Bay Area, where I learned the nuts and bolts of the craft, and graduated with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo in 2021.
Hello. I'm reaching out here again because I'm at my wits' end. I use a GoPro 11 camera primarily for my bike trips. I shoot videos vertically as I intend to upload them on Instagram. All the videos look great on my phone or in the Quick app. I record in 2.7k 60fps or 4k60fps. However, when I upload the footage to Instagram, the video is completely ruined. It doesn't matter how I export the video, whether in HD, FHD, 2k, or 4k. Reels always end up being of poor quality. Additionally, when I record with my phone in 4k 30fps, those videos look good on Instagram as well. Please help, as I'm about to throw this camera in the trash.
In your sequence you´re using 3840px vertical, but 4k is reorded in 2160px vertical.... doesn´t it stretch the video to match the 3840px vertical, I think it may cause quality loss
If your record in 60fps and export in 30fps... youre missing half of the frames. I only record in 60 fps when I know im gonna slow down the video (i shoot mostly birds) ...
The problem I have is that I like your videos more than I like luminar neo itself! You are informative and professional. Thank you for your video. I would take your master class in a heartbeat but I think that I may let my luminar neo lapse when it expires next year and keep Capture One and On1. I take your videos and try to adapt them to those programs. I bought your initial Neo package and it was great. I would recommend any of your products to anyone wishing to learn and improve their editing techniques.
One week ago I uploaded H.264 video to my Google Drive and try to dowload it to my 14 Pro but I can't do that so I googled it on net I saw just H.265 videos (I don't know why) can be downloaded to Iphones
I notice that I loose quality by uploading it to google drive and then downloading it to my iphone, when i tried to airdrop it my iphone said gave me a pop up saying it could not save it, bu tI am going to try your settings and see if it works, for an example is my last alexandria video on mi insta locotography and you can see what I mean, I was so mad, wasting almost 6 hours trying to do this, Ill post an update on this since I am going to make a new video about how to take care bonsais and I will follow your tips.
Rarely touched on in these type of guides is the 24 framerate. It depends on your content, but the gold standard for that dreamy music-video look is to film in 30 and slow it down by 20% on a 24 timeline. Then export in 24. BUT, the IG minimum is 30 and there are mixed observations on whether the 24 would look choppy or not once uploaded. The running theory is that IG will force the 24 to 30, therefore losing frames. But there isn't a single definitive answer it seems. Safe bet would be to just stick with 30 but you do lose out on that nice dreamy look to your movements.
@3:51 RENDERING a higher framerate does not remove motion blur. The camera already captures blur depending on the RECORDING framerate. In post you can only ADD motion blur as an fx, and only remove it with AI tools
hi, thank you for uploading this video. i want to make reals and i have an iphone pro max 13. i have did everything you said and still when i upload the 4k video -which i made with my phone- the quality still is not like when i watch the video in the album. how is this even possible? do i need to by a camera?
Thanks for the tip! I had no idea the high-quality setting existed and was turned off by default. Now you mention transferring your file from your computer to your phone. But what about uploading from the computer directly?
Yo bro--this is my third video I've watched. I like the LUT video. Where can I get started on getting some LUT. I'm inclined to video editing but don't do it for a living (more of a hobby growing up skateboarding). Anyways, my cousin's bachelor party was a big opportunity to flex my creativity again. Thanks for explaining LUTs in the exact amount of time I needed. I need to know where I can grab already-created LUTs out there. I want to sift through a library in the fastest way possible. I got Tulum beach club party footy and want to upgrade the feel. HELP! Thx bro
Hey Joshua, thanks for the support man! I really appreciate it and am glad that you’ve been liking the videos. There’s a ton of different places that you could go for LUTS. It really depends on what type of look you are going for. If you are looking to convert your footage from log into a standard color space like Rec. 709, lots of camera companies will have free luts you can download if you go to their website. This just depends on whatever brand of camera you are shooting on. If you want a look that’s more stylized then there are a lot of individual creators that have released LUT packs of their own. I haven’t released any of my own yet but it’s worth looking at other content creators who you admire to see if they have LUT packs available for sale
have watched too many dang videos and still my videos look like crap. When editing in FCPX my 4K videos from my A7IV look absolutely amazing but NEVER look good on Instagram, at least not like so many worse quality videos I watch, Drives me crazy. I will try this method but have a feeling this is old and instagram has changed it's quality settings. So many saying to can upload 4K videos but Not me. Is there a Compression or Bit rate I should be changing in Compressor maybe? Hopefully you will do a newer video for 2023 on this subject. Unfortunately I do not use Premiere but FCPX
Instagram started downgrading stories and reels to 720p now. It used to be 1080p. If you download some of your reels you can check the quality of the videos. It’s so annoying. They’re trying to save on storage space and bandwidth from what I’ve read online. I wish someone can make a video on this because many people are experiencing this issue.
@@sadiawh89 really? I did not know that, they are actually downgrading them now? I just started uploading them in 1920 and they seem fine now. I guess.
From instagrams official page: 'Reels should have a minimum frame rate of 30 FPS (frames per second) and a minimum resolution of 720 pixels.' So when they say 30fps they mean 29.97? And what do they mean by a minimum of 30. It makes it sound as if you could post more than 30fps but I have tried to post 60 fps many times and it always gets rencoded to 30fps. But I feel like i've seen buttery smooth 60 fps reels before. There is no such thing as support in these major social media corporations cause you're not the customer, so I can't ask them either why I can't post in 60fps but seemingly others can.
@@cypresv9380 I never managed to post a 60fps reel though I feel like i've seen them before. Perhaps there are none or if you can post 60fps it's only select popular accounts.
