This is a timeless singer. Our grandchildren and their children will keep listening to him because some wise dude will have heard Steve from his Dad or uncle and will show them. Some singers sing, others CONVEY and INTERPRET songs and Steve was a craftsman of singing, he never sang a verse the same, was constantly creating within the same notes. I have heard almost every version there is of this song and HE DOES IT TIME AND TIME AGAIN. Simply unbeatable. Every song is a freaking singing masterclass. Damn!
I so wish he had forgiven and returned to Journey after his surgery and before Arnel. I don't believe Steve, Jonathan, and Neal were done writing, and I have no doubt they would have all been happier together than they were apart. 😢 but you can't go back.
That was a great summer, they made 3 appearances in Chicago that summer, soldier field, Chicago feast on navy pier, and sound stage, I was able to see them all 3 tines again a great summer and even better performances
Steve had the impossible ability of singing better live than in studio. Not even Freddie Mercury had that chance. Steve is untouchably the greatest of all time.

The only time I went to San Francisco was in 1983. They were refurbishing the cable cars so I didn't get to ride on them. So their fundraising must have worked!

I always love it when Neal speaks up! They're all so good, and of course, I don't think I have to say anything about the vocals, right? SP was so fun and all arms and legs and hair!! ❤
The most compelling thing about Steve Perry, other than his beautiful voice, is that no matter what he speaks about you always know it is from the heart. Love, love love listening to this man whether he's singing or speaking. God Bless Steve Perry!
Is there anyone out there that's gotten tired of awesome videos of Steve Perry singing... someone said I could watch a video of him sitting there singing the phone book and be completely entranced by everything he's doing. Sometimes I can't believe how long ago this was and my heart swells and I think oh my gosh I'm in love with people that are 75 years old now. 😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ with all my heart, of course not like I love my family that's certainly a deep love for something that I yearn for
The kind of jamming always loved back then. They all were great! They watched Steve and sang back up, as well as Neal joining with the keyboard. The sax and the guitars .Yeah baby! Makes you want to get up and dance or clap your hands. When music was music!
Great sound. 30 year old men singing about breaking a little girls heart is a bit creepy, but it was for a soungtrack, so maybe I need to see the movie for perspective 😊
I absolutely & completely dislike the idea & people saying that Steve Perry is the “best singer in the world” - Well, this cannot be more untrue & wrong. - STEVE PERRY is absolutely the very very very best SINGER OF ALL TIME on earth, the KING in this solar system, in this galaxy and any other galaxies known or not yet discovered in the known & unknown universes…in this dimension and in all past present and future dimensions. PERIOD, END OF STORY. NO ONE WAS BETTER, NO ONE IS BETTER TODAY, AND NO ONE COULD EVER BE BETTER… NEVER EVER.
When Steve Perry came into the group journey, they were good very good When’s Steve Smith came in on drums I could see how this group changed for the better. They played much better. Even the guitar was better Steve and Greg we’re good together vocally and I know Steve was happier when Greg was in the group that way there wasn’t such a strain on his voice
