I had an issue with my cross slide. Michael, Weiss's manager, gave me very personalized service and made this video for me and I was able to diagnose and fix it with his help. It was like having my own machinist repair person right next to me. Weiss really puts a lot of effort into stellar customer service, no excuses. They just addressed the problem and got my machine working Thank you Weiss.. and thank you to your engineers.
I will jump in. I have this unit. I purchased it directly from Weiss. Some people have written to me expressing reticence at sending a huge chuck of money to a Chinese company, sight unseen. My experience was excellent. Michael, the manager, and Flora the sale/office person answered numerous questions from me. They stayed in contact with me through the whole process. The unit was well boxed and arrived at my location (I have a forklift) undamaged.When I had questions after the unit arrived they made videos for me on servicing or adjusting the unit. Its like having your own machinist rep right next to you. I also have precision Matthews machines from Taiwan. Is the quality as good... well.. maybe not but at the price point I can accept a slightly less machine... I am a novice machinist and for my needs this machine exceeds any accuracy I need for my welding shop. I absolutely would trust Weiss again. Remember to buy as much tooling as you can because its cheap with the purchase of the machine. Michael made great suggestions and I followed his advice. We all know tooling is where you sink the most money over time.

@@MasterCNC2 If you need to install X-Axis power feed, the front need to install limited switch for power feed, so we can't install scales in the front. We have devoloped 3-Axis power feed milling machine with intergrated motors, that can mount the scale in the front. Will lanuch the video soon, please pay attention to check it.
После такого монтажа внутри будет множество опилок, а так же возможные порезы проводов и как следствие замыкание электроники. Не говоря уже о том, что сверлить дрелью и нарезать резьбу в тонколистовом металле. Не похоже на заводскую сборку. Скорее гаражная сборка не опытными мастерами - любителями.
Please do not include music with sound content. It is not possible to get rid of the music and still hear the sound you wanted us to hear: the motors running. All music on technical videos is plain stupid but if there's no other sound at least viewers can turn the volume down. With this video, if we turn the volume down, we do not hear good stuff about the machine that you want us to hear.

Yes, we will provide the videos also without background music. But some people would like to have the music in the video,so we will make more videos to meet more requirements of our clients
Well it's a very nice machine, but the description tells us it is ultra quiet but the sound has been turned off and replaced with the silly and unnecessary music! We don't need music on a machine tool video.
Looks good, if I could afford one I think I be willing to bet my money on one. I've got a small 10x20 Weiss lathe and have been mostly pleased with it.
Why do you disassemble the spindle bearings?. I bought this lathe in 2020 and there are grease nipples where you can press grease in. Are these oiler/grease point not connected to the bearing😮😮😮
For this model lathe, there is no oiler for spindle bearing lubrication. Can you show us your gease nipples by sending photos to our Email: info@weiss.com.cn We will check it for you.
Notice you really don't have a point? You want Titanium maybe, Tool Steel..... Drop the cutter diameter use Tungsten and pump up the speed I am sure it would do those too.
@@seabreezecoffeeroasters7994 It may well do, but why choose easy machining metal to demo the machine's capabilities. Who would pick up a lump of cast rather than much more readily to hand mild steel unless they wish to hide something? A bit like a scissor maker using paper rather than cloth because they know the cloth will not cut too well.
@@michaeltelemachus5112 You are still clutching at some sort of conspiracy for a non existent gotcha. There is a heap of non company videos out there on this companies products (both badged and non Weiss badged) and short of them making a 40 minute promo CI is what we got here.
Anyway, it is just one of our testing video, we can't show everything in just one video. We will post more videos in the future about our products. Work on steel material, why not?

Yes accuracy and quality are things most people are willing to pay for in machinery. It doesn't matter how cheap the machinery is if it doesnt have those two qualities.
