Badboy not on this list is an insult to the best mower I’ve ever had. I’ve been commercial mowing for over 27 years will very little breakdown. American made right here in Arkansas. I’m still laughing at the video and some of the mowers that are listed. I’ll go up against any of them with records and stats to prove it. Badboy is as tough as it gets !
I went in to buy a Ferris at my dealer and no Ferris just Stihl. They said Ferris and Stilh made some type of deal and the Stihl was made by Ferris. One look said it all. Stihl looked cheaper and not as well built. I'm in SD and the dealer said that also was part of the deal. They the deal they made was Ferris couldn't sell up hear until the Stilhs were all sold. Didn't sound right. Still looking for a Ferris. I don't think I getting a straight anwser for the dealer.
For someone who deals with smaller residential lawns ,what do people recommend in terms of brands ? I only have experience with toro .but idk if I wanna go that route .I'm thinking ferris but idk
Looking to buy my first zero turn lawnmower kinda got it nailed to either Badboy,Toro maybe Hustler because a dealer isn't but 5 minutes away but he carries mostly commercial mowers of Hustler, Grasshopper, Stihl and think Esmark,I like the look of the Cub Cadet but not thrilled about the deck on them
Personally, I’d pick hustler, grasshopper or Exmark over toro. Kind of depends on the models you’re looking at though… different brands excel in different categories
I have a new Toro lithium, it sucks, drive wheel falls/self-powers off in 2nd hour, battery shorts, and on-line Toro will not take it back. They do not take items back if you use it for 1 minute! Their rear left geared wheel unbolts itself from the bracket, it self destructs! Two others have the same problem. Their repair dealer literally told me "with Toro, its Buyer Beware". I have a Toro case number, a BBB case number, and a US Consumer Product Safety Commission case number. Save yourself and learn from my mistake, and stay away from Toro.
Wow, that’s unfortunate to hear. I’ve heard this several times about problems with battery equipment and getting no support. I think a lot of these manufacturers released product quickly without considering how to train dealers, repair them, and warranty them. These mowers are very different than standard gas mowers.
I am still using my 2009 Kubota ZD331 72" cut and the wife uses a LX with 60" belly mower. We can cut our 11 acre yard in 3 hours. The ZD runs circles around the compact tractor, but I would not want to deal with gasoline storage as we also have other Kubota diesel equipment and have a 500 gallon diesel skid tank. How would you store the gasoline if you are. cutting 11 acres every 5-7 days? Also the ZD sips the fuel. So can only be diesel for me! On a side note just found out they can no longer sell anything over 25 HP without needing to have the EPA mandated DPF emissions crap, I need to keep mine going!
These videos are made by using Adobe premiere pro and adobe after effect. Do you think AI is so strong to make this types of videos. You are wrong brother.
have owned john deere, dixie chopper, toro, walker, ferris, an scag. have demoed hustler, gravely, an grasshopper. i have been in the lawn care business for 27 years an now own 6 scags.
I know the lawn care kid, fills lawn care, blades of grass, ambros landscaping, brians lawn maintenance, the lawn care life. I watch those people on RU-vid!
The scag is not the top of the line Walker mowers are btw why did you not put walkers on there I had a hustler and it is a piece of crap it’s a 2019 does not run well at all! I have another hustler that runs good but not a fan of the brand that’s why I upgraded to a walker model T23i with a high dump
Just saw this, they didn't even mention an Encore mower. They are monsters. I have had 1 for the past 22 years and with just regular maintenance hasn't been down ever. I retired 2 years ago and started helping a few people in my neighborhood that can't take care of their lawns anymore. I cut five yards a week for the last 2 years and it still hasn't let me down.
Owned all these brands and a handful of others. Done a mix of parks and govt contracts. Commercial and residential as well. If I was a one man operation or had a few trustworthy employees and didn’t have employees beat the piss out of my stuff I’d rank them 1. Exmark 2. Scag 3. Deere More bells and whistles and nicer cuts but expensive machines. If it’s employees running equipment 1. Kubota 2. Hustler Durable and great warranties
I like to walk behind for a solid workout while mowing. My family has a 48” toro walk behind. It takes about 40 mins to mow, and I have tons of steps on. Plus, I burn about 600 calories sometimes. Just mowing is enough of a workout for me personally.
Stand on mowers are garbage. Usually the drivers are hotrodding and pivoting turns tearing up the grass. Plus the riders weight pushes the tires in and makes ruts. Walk behind mowers with velkie attachments like jungle wheels are miles better.
remember that Cub Cadet steering wheel zero turns are also good, with the idea of having 4 wheel steering and can go on hillsides easier and are easier to operate, knowing that there is no lap bars, and doesnt have such a tank like feeling and everyone knows how to use a steering wheel.
