I bought the 46" cut Exmark with the 19hp Kawasaki back in 2007. This is just for my residential yard. Best mower I've been around. The width was because I wanted the biggest one that would fit in the back of my full size truck. I didn't want to have to buy a trailer to move it. Last time I looked they don't make a 46", now it's a 48". Theses types of mowers don't do well on steep angles. I have a corner lot and 2 decent size ditches. I can mow them but since there are castor on the front.. this is why they don't track well. Still wouldn't trade it for a conventional riding mower.
I opted for a Kubota g327 10 years ago. Kubota is the only manufacturer who puts their own engines and transmissions in their high end commercial mowers. Can't beat it!!!

There is a safety switch which is pushed in by the chute or mulching piece being attached to the deck. I took the cover off and it wouldn't start. Put it back on, no problem. It takes only a minute with 2 easily accessible wingnuts and no tools. This mower starts up first crank each time and it is a joy to use. It also mows in reverse by putting the key to the reverse area after starting and pushing in the triangular button. It will stay in reverse mode until you turn it off. All in all, for my homeowner needs, I really like this mower-and at 70 bucks a cut here in Miami, it's already more than 1/3 paid for itself in a month.
We have a Grasshopper 725 that has been mowing commercially since new in 2002 with no major issues. I don’t consider this a serious comparison if leaving out one of the best all around mowers I’ve ever operated. Solid as anything out there.

I’ll stick with my grasshopper 700 and 900 series with 3cyl Kubota diesel. No gimmicks whatsoever or plastic on them and easy to clean out deck with flip up deck.
I’ve owned them all over the years and here is my take. Buy a Scag if you are mowing commercially. There are many good brands but what sets Scag apart is they only make mowers! That means all,of Scag’s attention and R&D is given to their mowers.
What does Exmark make other than mowers? I can't support a company that works with Maville Steel. The entire place is full of well, different folks lets say. Been there in person...wtf!
The Wright ZXT fuel injected is a beast. It has a heartbeat you love. Takes out one ft grass if dry. Awesome high dollar mower. Huge tires. Huge power. Built in trailer receiver too. No substitute for 40 h.p.!
Had a Gravely 160 since 2006. Clipped lawn at house (2 acres), the grass and rode ditches at the farm (acres and acres, most of it cut with the hay mower before the zero turn, ditches to steep to cut with lawn tractor). Also cut grass at local race track, hillsides (that were clip with string trimmers)and parking lot, nearly 10 acres. Three years ago the track replaced the front mounted mower with a SCAG zero turn. Both are almost bulletproof. Engine,drive and deck trouble free (replaced starter - Gravely ). Had minor wiring harness problems, easy fix once son figured it out! Would buy either one when it comes time to replace! 👨🏻🦳 🐄 🚜
Cut across steep hillsides ( said farmer was crazy for doing it, always felt safe doing it). The main thing to remember is to always turn up hill “NEVER DOWN” 👨🏻🦳 🐄 🚜

All the Mowers in the video are fine machines, but none of them can touch my ALTOZ 766. We Mow over 5 sq miles of grass a week, over smooth to very rough terrain. We have very swampy ground that a Wheeled Mower can’t get through, and the ALTOZ doesn’t even slow down. The suspension is Phenomenal. We have a road we refer to as “Broke Back Boulevard” it’s that bad. We use to pull straws to see who mowed it, not anymore. This machine is fast, cuts well, runs superbly and saves us time.

SO GLAD to see the Ferris getting the press it deserves. I bought a 72" Ferris for my 20 acre property 2 years ago and it continues to amaze me! This mower gives you a "Cadillac Ride" over even the roughest terrain and you can see the shocks working. It gives a fantastic cut, since the wheel travel is integrated with the deck so that the grass cut stays flat. I have a 400X60 foot Bermuda runway for my Ultra light that I mow once a week and it takes me less than 10 minutes. The build is extremely strong. I have had Scag and Exmark in the past, but Ferris is the best mower I have ever used. I regularly tow a 1200 pound water filled roller to smooth out the ground and it has no problem pulling this. Oil changes are super easy. Just turn the stopcock, let it drain, and refill.
Have a Kubota ZD-326 for over 10 years mowing 4 acres twice weekly during mowing season. Only thing I replaced, other than maintenance items, was a throttle cable. If I ever have to replace it, it will be another Kubota diesel engine mower. It’s a bit pricey, but I anticipate another 10 years of use out of it.
Love my Ferris 3300 best zero turn I have ever owned cuts my 3 acres in about 36 minutes to an hour depending on how hard I push it but I have to admit that new Cub Cadet zero turn gps machine is pretty amazing
I am shopping around and have looked at all of the models listed except the Ferris. I'm really supprised that you didn't mention the Bad Boy line-up. I am told by several dealers that this company is one of the fastest growing mower companies
I would have bought one but the drive shaft powered blades turned me off. A belt lasts but U-joints and splines don't and cost plenty to replace. 23 years so far on a Kevlar mower belt.
You can tell by the warranty which mowers are the best quality. A company will put a warranty on a mower only as good as they think it is. Exmark and Toro have the best warranty. I run an exmark with a yanmar diesel 5 year 2000 hour commercial warranty. They believe in there mowers.
I have a Ferris front deck mower. It is great at handling all my mowing needs. Can mow a hill side no worries of sliding down. It makes trimming a ease. Mows under bushes and around trees
I wouldn’t trade my John Deere F620 Ztrack for none of these. I owned an ExMark Pioneer once,it would slip on a banana peel,and no good on a non steep hill.
I mow several acres of property with steep hills and the Lazer Z is a great machine. Best investment I ever made. I can honestly say the dealer I bought it from told me it was good for mowing slopes and he told the truth.
I also spoke with a landscaper yesterday who has a combination of commercial and residential customers. He said he had a turf tiger among other Scag mowers. He said the Kawasaki engine blew up at 250hrs on the turf tiger and had other issues and Scag would not honor their warranty. He said once the Scags he had wore out he was going all John Deere. He had a JD on his trailer with two other Scags and said the JD was more heavy duty than the Scag. I know it’s his opinion but I have heard others that are moving over to JD as well
@@myke_bota7590 yep they do. I went with Bradley 48” stand on and it is a tank. Cuts really well. It has a 24hp Vanguard and it is a beast. I also have a JD garden tractor with a 24hp Kawasaki
Not showing the Grasshopper mower renders this comparison useless. I have been running a Grasshopper 721D since 1994. The same machine and it has over 2500 hours on it. None of the others compare in quality, ride, and durability.
u do realize qhat u posted is a joke right yout 1994 mower does not compare to ride on=f new stuff cut quality off new stuff and we use to buy 10 to 20 mowers a year from auctions with 2200 plus hours always toro or exmark machines bought them to resell with 2200 plus hours so lol u are unfortunaly full of crap they bud
I know of several people who own the Grasshopper 200 series mowers. They love them, and would never consider anything but Grasshopper. Both say that dealer support is first rate.
And the best mowers on the market never got a look in. KUBOTA ZG Series commercial zero turn mowers are the only mower on the market that has it's own engines & transmissions & also have a shaft drive, so no V belts to break. The ZG222 has a 48" 5mm. fabricated deck & is bullet proof. The best by far with a double V cutting belt that is unbreakable!
ive used them all and at the end of the day id choose the kabota over the others. like a few have said they build their own engines. another benefit is they are the only one with a shaft driven deck that kinda bulletproofness is undeniable and yes i just made up a word
After you slam anything with the blades you'll either take out the coupler bushing or strip the spline(s)! Also anticipate replacing both U joints fairly often if you cut a lot. Other than it having a wide turning radius and not being zero turn, its likely the best mower for attachments on earth if, especially if you own a bank or 2.

I have a 14 yr old Gravely zero turn. 600 hours. Kawasaki motor is good. Mows nice. Had one of the transaxles go out. $1200 plus $200.00 labor if they could get it. None available. I guess it is for the best. What if the other went out after fixing the first? Too old to tie that much up in.
My 40 HP. front mount Grasshopper 900 is the best zero turn made. You didn't even mention it. Who is trying to sell certain zero turns by omitting a extremely high quality mower made in the USA such as the Grasshopper?
I agree… but front mount is a bit unique, Grasshopper is only popular is certain parts of the country, and they’re kind of basic in terms of features in my opinion. Nearly every zero turn mower is made in the USA. Of course everyone has their own opinion, which is cool but I can’t include every single brand in a review.

When you do Comparison please be honest.For example like Stanley the Dirt Monkey & Brian Lawn Maintenance the give good comparisons. The compare them on Turf/Bad Grass&Brush.Some people do the comparison on Turf that looks like it was 2days before.
This was a great review on commercial zero turns, I really liked it. I have a few questions for you and hopefully you can answer them for me. Do you or will you be doing a video and review on residential zero turns? And also, could you show which one is the easiest to clean and maintain? Due to my husbands health, we are seniors, I now have to now 3 1/2 acres. I bought a steering wheel type zero turn this spring, first zero turn. It only has 3.5 gal tank and I have run out of gas. Also, I cannot get on the ground to clean underneath this. And it doesn't float and is the roughest ride ever, in some spots it beats the hell out of me to put it bluntly. So sorry I got this. Only think I like is the ease of driving it. I had mulch blades put on it also. Soooo, this fall or next spring I want to sell it but just don't know what to get. Again, I have to maintain it, so ease of cleaning underneath is important for me. Thank you for any help in this area.... Claudia

The first mower that comes to mind is the Hustler Flipup for ease of maintenance. There are some nice mower jacks you can get that will make getting under any mower easy. For ride comfort I would recommend Ferris or Toro MyRide.

Question for the professionals: Do you guys pick up the clips? Let's say you go to a big property with long grass! Picking it up by racking it would take all day! Or do this machines have accessories like bags to catch grass clippings?

why does my 2019 ferris 2100 61'' build up grass so bad under the deck!..i mean its ridiculous!..over a 5 gallon bucket at a time when i clean it out..have to do it after about every 5 acres when grass it bone dry..mow one damp acre in the morning and its plugged up..it plugs so bad that you can hear it under there struggling to cut and throw out the grass..come to a stop and sit there a few seconds and giant blobs of grass start spitting out while machine is not moving!..im getting sick and tired of cleaning under the deck and i even have a 2 post lift in my shop to lift it up to do the job..my toro groundsmaster 325d 72 would only build up about a gallon bucket full for the entire summer!..
I've had a WOODS 60 inch for 12 yrs, love it. Power tilting deck, 27 HP Kawasaki, front mount deck to get under my Evergreens, mulching kit so no grass clippings, I mow about 5 acres every week.
The scat tigers of today are pure POS Compared to those of the early 2000's. Ours is a 2005 72" kawa 29 and has really been worked hard and is a seriously sweet machine. We are now on our 3rd engine but only 2nd set of pumps and after trying the new ones for 2 weeks I would recommend you run from scag as far as the riders go!!!
Unfortunately, this is the case for basically every mower now. Just not built as well mainly to keep costs down in order to make the mowers reasonably priced.
Wow, your Exmark is off, there is no 52" in the X series of the LazerZ, do a bit more research before putting out a video that people will take as truth. LazerZ has the "E" series, 48, 52 and 60 inch cuts - "S" series, 52, 60, 72, 96 and 144 inch cuts and the "X" series, 60 and 72 inch cuts. Your warranty information is almost right, they also have unlimited hours for first 2 years as well.
Oops. Made a mistake mentioning the 52” on xseries. Also most of yours is wrong too… E-series is 48”, 52”, 60”, and 72”. S-series is 52”, 60”, and 72”. 144” is only diesel. Guess we’re both human!
Clearly they did not demo a Cub Cadet Pro Z 60 or 72 with Steering wheel. Lap bars are old school and are horrible on steep hills and retention ponds. They also create so much turf tear you are force to do 3 point turns, taking more of your time and money.
