Y’all ever have issue with the prop wanting to jump out the water ? My 670 swamp runner I have to man handle it. I moved it one back in the holes but still.
@@coltensawyer6761 you gotta bend the skeg the way it’s jumping out, if the prop goes to your left bend the skeg to the left, helps even it out. Usually it means it’s not far back enough in your wake or it’s not exactly centered on the boat
@@northernneckoutdoors3136 Thats awesome to hear! I debated on the Duromax's, the predator 459, 420 and the few options on amazon, but decided to go with the Genkins. I'm up in Alaska so getting these motors shipped is kind of a PITA. So its great to hear some real world feedback that the Genkins isnt a total POS lol. Looking forward to that push start too. My 212 pushes me and my wife upriver in my Semi-v 1448 at about 9mph. But you can hear it working its little heart out lol. Hoping to see 15mph with us, dogs and gear. Gonna pair it to a Twister setup this time. Fingers crossed. lol
I ordered a Robertson exhaust for my 670 on my 14-36 I’ll let you know how it sounds but it’s a two three week wait. Y’all leave y’all’s motor on when you ain’t running it ? I currently take mine off every time
Did anyone figure a way to make it so you can swap long tail out for the shorter surface drive style when ya dont need to run so shallow? Without rekitting rhe whole thing
Not sure if your still running that thing or if you figured it out but they make a weed blade that bolts onto the keg right up to the prop it will shred every weed that gets on your tail prop... pretty simple ad genuus idea
Well, now I have to make one. We have a few rivers with no ramps I would love be able to cruise up and down. Question though, do you have many rocks or rock outcrops?? We have a lot of rocks and I am concerned I am going to go through props.. just curious!
Yes we have a lot of rocks in one river we go in, we just lift the motor out whenever we go over logs or rocks. We always have 2 extra props (and the tools to change them) as well just in case. We’ve had 1 incident where a prop broke on us
Are y’all getting a lot of bow lift with that motor? I’ve got a 212 on mine (same boat) and the bow sits so low when I’ve got my load and another guy that if there’s any chop at all water is coming over the bow. Looking to upgrade to the 670. Where do yall have the battery and how low does the transom sit in the water?
