I know this is an old video and not sure if you found a wood furniture set but check out Kalashnicarver. They make a set that will run you 500 big ones but if you really want the wood look that might be your only option.
How much cost Zastava M76 DMR on 7.92 Mauser? If find it somewhere try it it was very deadly in Yugoslavian wars. I heard it is very reliable and precise especialy if you find one with original scope produced in Zrak Sarajevo Bosnia and Herzegovina. You will recognize that by orange stamp on scope .
I have my gf5 psa look and finish is amazing only put 20 rounds so far because I broke my wrist and had a screw put in lol but I can’t wait to get healed up
Tbh I think arsenal usa are shit finish wise. Great gun but how hard is it to upgrade to some salt bath nitride when the gun has been 1k plus for a decade now lol
If you don’t use crappy or corrosive ammo like yugo stuff and you clean it and put in a shooters kit then the only thing I think you’ll need to replace is the barrel after a about 10 or 20 thousand rounds
1 moa!? Sorry not happening. I agree it's better fit and look compared to psl but way below quality of a good ar-10 type for the same money. If you get 2moa with select ammo, that would be considered good. It's a novelty and that's why it costs that much. Maybe its value grows over time like it happened to ndm, but most likely not due to much higher volume of these being imported.
@@Catgat37 Gas has been set up after firing 100 rounds (or was it 300 idk). Other than that gas settings it is the same gun. I just need to get it back from my brother that got it 2 weeks ago and keeps buying surplus ammo for it. His youngest kid (15) loves it. I might have to buy him his own Zastava in a year or two. Brat...
Yeah dude they may look the same but these two rifles couldn’t be more different. I have two 104FRs, two SGL31s and a pm86 so I’m kind of a connoisseur of 5.45x39 ... one of the 104FRs has probably just shy of 15k through it and one of the SGL31s has maybe 12k approximately through it. They have run flawlessly, as a matter of fact the more rounds I put through them the better they seem to run, the only thing that’s changed is the finish and that’s just from years of use and abuse. My pm86 though very much Romanian and more of an AKM rechambered for 5.45 is still a very reliable bullet hose and if I’ve had any malfunctions with it I certainly don’t remember them... however I’ll exclude that to an extent because I don’t think it’s even crossed the 5k round mark yet and because it’s a kit build and not a factory rifle like the 104FR, the SGL31 and the PSA. Unfortunately I found the PSA 74 to be the ultimate disappointment. I never owned one, but I had a friend who thought some of the PSA rifles were somewhat solid training rifles so he picked one up and I helped him test it out. We never even made it to 500 rounds... we were starting to notice unusual wear and sheering at about 100 rounds... somewhere between 400 and 500 we started to get light primer strikes with good ammo, then no primer strikes at all. Well it didn’t take us long to pull the bolt and realize it wasn’t moving freely, and when we pulled it out it had broken. After doing a little research we found out these problems were literally so common that several RU-vid testers had the same issue in a matter of like 2 days. I will say my buddy sent it to PSA who happily replaced the firing pin so the customer service was good but come on guys... I’ve seen IO rifles make it longer then that without a show stopping malfunction. Anyway, my friend donated it to another buddy who’s looking to get into 5.45 so he at least has something to play with while he saves up for a decent rifle since they’re the price of a damn used car these days. Hopefully he’ll get a few thousand out of it, because despite all the bad things I had to say about it the rifle was accurate enough and pleasant to shoot though noticeably under gassed which is never something I would accept in a rifle I planned to protect my life with.
I would have to find the link but it's a very sturdy sling I found on eBay or Amazon I believe. Not surplus or anything but way better than the factory one.
Hmm. I have a gf3 that I love (it's got sweet Russian furniture !) It's my fav ak. Someday I'm going to have a PSA 74 that I love but not until the next version
What ammunition have you tried on this gun? I'm very interested in purchasing one of these and curious how it does with different bullet weights and match grade ammunition.
I've been using PPU. Trying to avoid using corrosive ammo but I know it will eat it. I have some hand loads in going to try on it. Red Army Standard steel case stuff does fine. It will pretty much shoot anything you can run through it.
I think it's a great collection piece because it's very unique rifle of a Carthage that's been around for very long time in 762x54R which has the same ballistics of 308 win. It's more affordable to shoot. The Serbian army still deploys this DMR/Sniper rifle. It's great you got it @ a better price. Well done.
Don’t have an M91, but I do have a pistol from Zastava. The thing is fairly reliable and extremely accurate, but it is a little on the heavy side for a piece about the size of a Walther ppk
I put one on layaway, should be getting it out by the end of the month. Atlantic is only shipping with one mag? Impact guns is shipping with 2 mags and the other stuff. Great video! I can't wait for mine! I already bought some PPU 182 match and some M30 ammo.
@@raygixxer89 The last lot of 7.62x54R 7N1 I knew of for sale several years ago made 50BMG seem cheap. It was going for around $3-4 per round IIRC. One vendor would only sell it in complete spam cans. I would go with straight commercial match rounds. They are cheaper, easier to find and more consistent than the Milsurp stuff.
@@williams_garage jeez, its things like that and the amount of gunk I have already found with one thats making me extra cautious, but thank your for validating said caution.
@@luger_Mann I always inspect my surplus rifles before I shoot them just to make sure there aren't missing parts or damage. I don't want to hurt the rifle or myself.
@@NgJackal1990 it's not uncommon to have s first cover on an AK type rifle that has a little play on it. So long as it isn't falling off when you're shooting I would think it's fine.
@@NgJackal1990 either one. If it's still under warranty and they are going to cover the shipping, send it back to Zastava. Otherwise a gun smith yippy trust is fine. I can't imagine it being a tough fix.
@@user-iq5jq9tf6h same here. If you can afford it I would defiantly go with the Arsenal. That's just my preference. I still think PSA did a great job with the rifle.
Arsenal is closer to an AKS-74, the Bulgarians got the tooling for those rifles but never the AK 100 series, although the differences are not too drastic between the AKS-74 and the AK-74m. Most changes were for cosmetics, ergonomics and streamlining the production process.
You can still find the ammo at 60 cents per round but the magazines are a ballbreaker & it is easier to just use a 308 /7.62 NATO-not enough existing or new/newer guns chambered in 762 x54R. It sucks because it's a good idea to have multiple platforms to have access to the most available cartridges.
if you act like a weekend warrior, than you ask those questions, and with reason. But if you ever carried this beauty in a real war situation, seen how precise and reliable is...honestly those questions are infantile
I just hit 1K rounds through mine, which is the same version as yours and so far I have not had any real issues with it and the wear patterns seem identical to that of Robski.
My dad got to Chinese ak for 400 a pice one was 223 and the other was 762 39 that one looked like a ak74 . That was in the late 90's a blast to shoot. Now they want 1000 for them to me they are still worth 400
