This is the same Bullshit Bootstrapping technique Trump did with election denial. Step 1: Publicly claim something is happening without solid evidence. Step 2: Followers repeat that claim based on the public statement. Step 3: Assert that widespread repetition of the claim is proof of its merit. Something radical must be done by our government to address this cancer of misinformation that has been allowed to grow into a tumor on social media. We need to get social media back to what it’s supposed to be, a place to connect with your friends. The government should create a publicly funded, non profit corporation to run a social media site completely free of ads and misinformation who’s concern is not with creating profit for shareholders but allowing for people to connect with friends without having racist propaganda forced down their throats cause “the algorithm.”
I like how Lily criticised Rebecca for doing the vague hint for a future plot point thing (eventhough that's now what Rebecca did) when her favourite character off all animated media, Alistar the Radio Demon, Vivziepop wrote him the exact same way. His motive in the first season was all about "oh make a deal with me, Charlie, it'll just be a favor that you have to do for me in the future that i won't entail what that thing would be but just don't care about that for now". His character is the literal embodiment of vague. And by just watching the first season you can tell Vivian just wants to show off this really cool character she had and express all the cool things about him, from the dominance he has over other demon to the smile to the creeoy way he resemble a deer, to his shady motive, all of that is to build intrigue. All of that is fine and i respect anyone who likes him and find him as the coolest, but don't go shitting on writers who does the exact same thing.

Trump was bad on the economy, before COVID, the every quarter of 2019 had manufacturing in the red. His current tariff plans would also get you laughed out of any economics classroom

I stopped following this story after the first week or so, so I hadn't heard Vance say his thing about how immigrants are illegal if he thinks they should be. On the one hand, this is obviously how the right thinks about immigrants already and isn’t surprising. On the other hand, it's a jaw-droppingly horrifying way to think about law and criminality. One of the principles of how laws are supposed to work is, they can't go into effect reteoactively. That is, if I do something like cross a border or buy a vape on Monday and it's legal, and then the government makes a law against that thing in Tuesday, I can't be prosecuted. This is important! Obviously! Because it's not possible to predict what the laws might be in the future! Like how tyranical is it to take someone who conciencously always has followed the law, change the law so that now the thing the did the past is illegal, and then charge them for it? That's not a law, that's the whim of a king.
I know this video is focused on showing the Republicans to be craven liars (as they are), but everytime I am reminded of that bipartisan immigration bill I am so incredibly disgusted by the democrats. Aren't they supposed to be the defenders of immigrant human rights? Why would *they* throw their constituents under the bus like this? the most op thing in it imo he didnt mention is hitting. if you want, you can go through a whole dungeon and can kill 90% enemies by yourself. that being said, its not unbalanced bc it takes so long to do it. sure you can kill all 25 bulborbs, but it'll take you 15 minutes
