Do you remember an old strategy game with a race of dinosaurs? We are looking for a game from our childhood and we can't find it... it was an RTS, late 90's, early 2000's, similar to Primitive Wars. In the game you could play as a nation that consisted of dinosaurs, not only humanoids, there were no humans [no riders]. It's not Jurassic Wars, it's not Primitive Wasr, it's not Dawn of War from 1999, it's not Paraworld, it's not Seven Kingdoms, it's not Warlords Battlecry III... maybe you'll remember something?
@@krakenatemyboss it was also made in the village next to me which i found out 20 years later which is cool, and we all love Chris Barrie for the first voice over ( i hope) 😂
Im trying to find a game where you look from above and control an elite team during the night and no its not Commandos. You saved hostages, blow a few trucks, between the 4 5 people you had different weapons, I even remember watching a speed run of it.
@@krakenatemyboss Some of the sports ones, but i've played the rest either as demos (from a monthly computer magazine) or full when I could find them in stores.
I was born in 87, so the stretch of PC games between 96 and 01 is probably the most nostalgic for me. It's cool to see how objectively terrible those games looked and compare it with what my wide-eyed imagination has re-drawn them to since in my memories 😅😂
Yes, the games are outdated of course) They are already 25 years old on average and now flaws are striking, but then they were just masterpieces)) I like to return to these games from time to time and replay them. If you do not look with a critical eye, but only through the eyes of that child, then you get a large portion of pleasant nostalgia :)
Yes, parts 3 and 4 are certainly not the same, but I didn’t like it anyway) And between them there was a part of Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel. Also not part 2 but quite fascinatingly :)
It’s a pity that it didn’t work out then, but you have the opportunity now to catch up. Surely most of these games can now be bought or downloaded somewhere. Remasters of different games are also periodically released :)
As someone who hasn't had the opportunity to grow up with these classics, it's very exciting to see how far games and technology as a whole has come! There's something about Civ II's primitive looking menus, or The Sims using Comic Sans as a primary font 😆

Thank you for this, seriously. There's one I've been trying to find from a demo disk that's essentially a top-down (grid-based?) shooter that came on a demo disk my mom gave me back in '93. I don't know why I keep focusing on it, guess it's my "White Whale".
Thanks for the comment my friend) I'm glad you liked it :) I also love old games and sometimes I return to them to go through something that I could not go through in my childhood or just briefly return to that carefree time
It was very difficult for me to play Cannon Fodder as a child. I pumped the soldiers to the maximum and then they were killed and I was upset)) By the way, the game had a very cool soundtrack. Very atmospheric

It's really amazing that even in an era where the PS1 already existed, there where still games developed for DOS. And some like Tomb Raider or City of Lost Children even started on the PS1 / the Sega Saturn and where later ported to DOS.
