Yea I agree. Those paper/plastic corners save a lot of lumber that adds up. I have had discussions with our millwork providers to make sure theres always corners under every band.
Ive personally seen a guy at work.. worki g the metal press.. were we cut stucko aluminum.. steel, anything.. he was adjusting the piece for the precise cut, and forgot bout the foot press.. he leaned in to push the metal forward a bit. And his foot was on the switch.. cut 4 of his fingers off.. within seconds.. he was on the ground screaming.. just saw a massive pile of blood, and fingers on the ground... it was traumatizing just watching.. much less how he felt.. it was a horrible day foe him.. everyo e was forced to watch safety videos for 15 min..
I am not the Hero here. There are many others that deserve the recognition, btw anyone reading this... the campaign ends tomorrow, there's still time to help!
I have sawn a lot of western red cedar , when I get those hollow logs I usually split them with a chainsaw , they’re safer and easier to saw . Then you get quarter sawn boards , highly sought after , and I get too dollar for them . 👍🇨🇦
@@kandjlumber I’ve been sawing lumber on and off since I was 18 , 64 now . Still have a mill but my age and a no good log supply , kind of slowed up a bit . 👍🇨🇦
No we sell retail to the public. We are not a lumber yard, aside from our Kiln Dried section, we do not stock dimensional lumber. We cut it fresh to order using our sawmill. We do however have 1.5” and 2” true to size white oak in our yard. I have had customers buy that and make some beefy garden beds. No cedar sorry. We have aromatic cedar (eastern red cedar) in our Kiln Dried section though..
If you're talking about the Woodmizer LT40, you can do a search for used sawmills in your area. There's actually websites that sell used sawmills but the names of them escape my memory right now lol. Are you trying to buy a sawmill soon? If so, I hope you find one that works for you.
@@kandjlumber I paid for my LT40 two years ago and I’m still waiting. They’re the best mill on the market, they have the best support and supply. They’re amazing people who are very giving… I’m just impatient.
This is just a small clip from a longer video we did on our channel. Do you think you would benefit from more videos about the woodmizer brand (i.e. LT40)? What questions would you want answered?
It might depend on the area of the country. Kendal said we can see a bunch of bullets and other hardware in logs all the time, then we can go 6 months and never see a bullet..
