I have two jars of jelly that didn't seal. I remember my grandmother used to top her jars with a layer of melted wax. If in doubt, I'll just put it in the fridge
I leave in Australia and I had no choice but to let my beautiful baby boy Dante go into adoption the thought of not seeing my baby ever again broke my heart until these lovely DHS Worker that worked at the hospital I was in mentioned open adoption and I was like what is that and she said you can steal see your baby and I’m like YES I want that as that was the only way I could see my little cute boy Dante however I’m worried once Dante is at the age to go to primary school I want hardly get to see him and that is something on my Mind a lot as you could imagine and I’m just scared if I want be able to see my son at all once his hit that age.

Hello fellow folks! 😊 So I’m looking for a recipe & having such a difficult time finding. My Mom passed away 11/2010 and I have been trying to find a recipe on and off without much luck. This is as close as I have found. So I can remember my momma taking Iceberg lettuce and adding what I remember as mayonnaise (or even Miracle Whip perhaps ?) and adding little bit of sugar, milk, & maybe another ingredient which could have very well of been vinegar and mixing it all together. Anyone of you reading my message think that it could have been what I’m thinking? This recipe sounds so good to make potato salad with! So if any of you could possibly know what recipe I’m thinking of and what is the name of it, please feel free to tag me and give me whatever recipe you think I may be speaking of. I want to know why I have to cut off the bloom end but Vlassic doesn’t. Or Heinz. Or my mom. I’ve done pickles both ways and have yet to have a difference. 🤷🏻♀️

It can be a commercial jar with a twist-off lid. Mason is an American product, and people in other continents don't have access to it. To remove the leaf, you just use a dull paring knife. They doesn't need to be "cored" because they are not raspberries. Mash better. Big fruit with skins might need a blender. But I think crushing the seeds too much might worsen the taste. I restart the flame to keep the jam at 100° so that it and the ladle are sterile. I avoid touching the rims or inserting foreign objects into the jar. The bubble popper doesn't need to be plastic. You just mashed a glass tray with a masher. If it has any scratches, it is only because there was a piece of soil on the berries. You can take a knife and scrape the label off. Ther will be no marks. The lids might need to be sterilized because they won't touch the hot food. Sugar in the pot about 1:1. Mash, cook to boiling, ladle, screw done. What I find most intimidating about canning is that everyone wants you to follow their recipe without questioning or understanding the elements.
Breakfast would be 230 without the olive oil,which has about 100 calories per tablespoon. I think you had at least 200 calories of oil there. Spray Pam would solve the problem on a lower heat for the veggies. So could measuring out one teaspoon of olive oil, which would only raise the calories to about 265, which would still be good. Just FYI. The extra olive oil can slow down weight loss when we forget to include it, which I have also done when logging a meal.

That is way too much sugar. I use 12 cups of strawberries and only 1 1/2 cups of sugar, no pack of anything out of a box. I know 100% what's in my strawberry preserves and I'll tell you it's not more sugar than strawberries. That's crazy bad for you and I love sugar and I don't miss it at all. Now after all that thank you for teaching me how to can without doing the water bath worked like a charm
I was raised going camping with siblings and friends. Sometimes tent camping with only what you can fit on a motorcycle traveling 7 states away to sturgis. We usually will hotel it if it is starting to get dark as we don’t ride at night..to many deer or other animals that can bolt in front of you. We do bring a Jackery to plug in phones and a insta boil for coffee. When we drive to go camping we take a chest freezer that is equivalent to your chest, except you can plug it into your car and set the digital temperature on the chest to fridge temperatures or freezer temperatures. It also has a divider in the middle that can keep certain foods separated or can be removed. It is handy but the downside is it is heavy to lift in and out of the vehicle. It does have wheels. We have used it in power outages and just plugged it into our Jackery. It has been handy in that way too. I was a bit shocked when my husband purchased it about 7 years ago…I believe it was around $400. So they are not cheap. I worked bakery for a long time so I do find it handy to bake special occasion cakes/cupcakes/pastries ahead, store and decorate night before. So I am glad my hubby got it…I just couldn’t justify paying that much for seasonal camping for a chest.
Start by rolling out your Puff Pastry (1 box comes with 2 sheets) I buy a big salmon from Costco; season it W/ S&P. Lay it on the first sheet of Puffed Pastry. Sauté fresh spinach (Costco) with some diced onions and minced garlic; once it has wilted down layer on top of salmon. Add shredded Greyer Cheese over spinach mixture. Cover with your second rolled out sheet of puff pastry. Bake 350/30m. Let completely cool wrap in Saran Wrap, place in ziplock bag and freeze. Just unwrap at campsite and warm up in foil or cast iron skillet. This feeds a lot of people so you can easily cut the salmon in half and just use 1 sheet of puff pastry. The prep is only about 15m. And bake for 30m. Truly a family favorite for years and it also has been a Christmas and birthdays tradition….its impressive, delicious and takes very little time to make.
Good question! Still working away at Noom - these drinks are a good addition to my health choices, as alcoholic drinks often contain loads of calories.

Wrong: Tire pressure determined by text on side of a tire - no! The vehicle manual indicates correct tire pressure only! You can google your model, year and tire size for your case.
We are going to stay to hotel this weekend that has no breakfast! And we're doing a pioneer reenactment, and while it's fun to cook on Dutch oven, there's a lot of other things that will be presenting... So thank you for giving us such great ideas! We're going to make all three of them for our large family ! You've never had an issue with the glass jars cracking? I think that I have read that you can freeze glass jars, I have just always been a little leery of it! If you have time, I'd love to hear if it's ever been a problem. I suppose if I keep the headspace it wouldn't be, but I'm not sure.
Great question! The key with glass jars is to make sure they have straight sides and a wide mouth if freezing. This shape is considered freezer safe. We've never had them crack. :)
