Abusive step dads are the worst, I say from experience...if you are searching for justice, give it to yourself! accomplish more with your life than he ever could and show him how little of an impact he is to your life even if he did make a huge impact do not give him the satisfaction of knowing that! Show him how insignificant he actually is as a human being by being something great, when you grow up you are an adult just like him and the fact is you can have more money a better job a better position in that job a better home a happier family a better body a healthier life style and that is something to covet above anything, he doesn’t want that for you but he will want if for himself...for you to achieve this would be the most souls destroying thing for him and if you still care, ruin any part of his life he still has then continue with your glorious one. Hope this reaches the right person...dry your eyes hit your books, eat clean, excersise, enjoy the world in all its beauty because you deserve it...do not let someone take that from you
I learned this song when I was abt 13 or 14 and I remember singing it and crying cause my step dad was an abusive alcoholic/coke head and would hit me and my mother (mostly me) also he'd moleste me.. here I am 25 years old and hearing this song makes me lose my shit.

Thank You Nate! One of my Favorite obscure and timeless songs. Been trying to piece some chords together to do it justice. I've found some very oddly blended chords that get pretty close in Standard tuning non-capo. Trouble has been wanting to play capture some of the harmonics with violin/bass etc. Hoping to nail it down but having trouble getting decent recording quality. Anyone have a video or chords for another song of JLC, Vertigo! Love that one too!
