13:48 I did't know my architect went all from America (Netherlands) to your place to choose the same ugly tiles in the whole house....Oh sh*t, I need to build an Airstrip to make the place nice overall🎉
looks like the perfect place for me to come visit ..... run some heavy equipment and clean up some stuff ..... i love airplanes and middle of nowhere places ....... i also catch rattlesnakes !!!!!! yes that was a diamond back rattle snake !!!
i have one very similar, but mine the switch once pressed stays pressed, until you turn it to release it. Bad Idea. A can got stuck and trying to get it free the whole thing flipped up the red button pressed by my arm. Two fingers on BOTH hands got crushed in there. There was no way for me to release it. i shut off the compressor with my foot, tried turning the button with my teeth no luck. tried disconnecting the air no luck. No one was home. I say a neighbors window open so i screamed for help like a damsel in distress. a teen age girl comes running out the house. I tell her to turn the red button, she does and the thing drops to ground releasing my fingers. the whole neighbor hood heard me and came out so embarrassing. And it was caught all on camera so my wife can laugh at me.
Well... it would have been really nice to see what you would have made with the bombshelter. But guys... this is AWESOME! Really really looking forward to all fun, weird, happy moments from this place! Good luck to both of you. And Pearl ofc ❤
Solar is cheap these days and to live in a place like this requires a lot of solar to be happy. It looks like there are a lot of buildings and a lot of TLC to do to this place. Lots of building means extra water storage. Need lots and lots of water! Lots of equipment as well. I hope there is a Diesel generator as well. Firewood is going to be super fun. Keep in mind that the city can provide so much free wood that one has no clue what to do. Pallets can be a good source of firewood provided you just cut the slats out. Stacked firewood can be wonders good. Lots of hidden stuff out here as well. I am sure there is a lot of hidden stuff out there! Enjoy!
Hey, is it that one of those airplanes they call the physician killer aircraft that a lot of Physicians that aircraft was unstable and it kills a lot of Physicians that's always good to have
Best investment is a lot of tool batteries with a lot of tool stuff. I have several hand full of lights along with fans, blowers, air compressor and more lights with a dozen batteries. I am slowly building up Ryobi stuff, I used to get Ridgid stuff yet Ryobi has more stuff that I seem to like better. I do not need high grade stuff so Ryobi is more than enough. I custom made 2 chargers for Ridgid batteries that allow you to charge your phone usb c with PD as well so that I can charge laptops with them too. They are far better than the crappy ones you can buy.
If you've never been off grid before, you're in for a rude awakening. Ya'll need to start on your energy conservation journey yesterday. Change all those light bulbs to LED asap. Switch those hot water heaters to on demand heaters. There's a ton of wasted electricity in keeping water hot when it's not needed.
Get yourself a decent metal detector a d start looking around the property. You might find a cache or a hidden bunker. Might make the property a ‘bargain’.
That is a nice ranch, and a great price. has a lot of potential. My grandmas brother lived in the Phoenix/Black Canyon City area before he passed in 2022. he was known as the Arizona Duuude and would where a shirt, vest, and cape with the Arizona flag, he was a self proclaimed #1 Arizona fan. Never met him but he always looked like he was living his life to the fullest in family pictures

OK at 9:15 you're in a little closet and find a little gizmo. It's called a stravis? stravit? What the heck IS IT?!?!?! It's driving me nuts. Congrats on the purchase! You can hear the wind blowing outside the house. Hopefully it's more of a rarity or you're going to have problem flying out of there. Enjoy all the wonderful things that nature is providing such as lumber, shovels, airplanes, etc. 🙂
I'll tell you what, as someone who love alternate energies, I'm firstly jealous that you have so much open space (I live less than 2mi from the CBD of Australia's 3rd largest city on 6500sqft block) but I'm also jealous of the WIND you have to use in conjunction with the solar power! MAKE THE WIND WORK FOR YOU! And enjoy the space!
